Watch Brie Larson Break Down in Tears Over Meeting Jennifer Lopez at the Golden Globes (Exclusive)

The 'Lessons in Chemistry' star met the actress-singer for the first time and shared how much she inspired her to become an actress.

Brie Larson meeting Jennifer Lopez for the first time was a sensational moment for the Lessons in Chemistry star. Then, finally, being able to tell Lopez that she inspired her to become an actress just made that moment even sweeter.

It all went down Sunday when Larson was in the middle of her interview with ET's Kevin Frazier at the 81st Golden Globes at the Beverly Hilton. When told Lopez was right behind her, Larson lost it.

"Oh, my god. Oh, my. I'm gonna cry," she said while choking back tears. "I can't deal with J.Lo."

Larson added, "I can't. I'm gonna cry. I'm gonna cry. I can't."

She wasn't kidding.

As Lopez was getting in position for her interview with ET, Larson worked up the courage to tell Lopez how much she's inspired her. Lopez then walked over to offer a hug and she told Larson, "Hi, how are you? I'm such a huge fan."

"You mean so much to me," Larson responded after the hug. "I saw Selena and it made me wanna be an actor. And you've always meant so much to me. It's been a dream of mine. Thank you so much. Your work ethic is so important, thank you."

Lopez, who stunned in a pink custom Nicole + Felicia gown, was so moved by the kind words she began getting teary-eyed.

"You're gonna make me cry," Lopez exclaimed, to which Larson responded with, "I've been wanting to say that to you for a long time."

Larson then fangirled to her mom, who could be seen waving and recording the emotional encounter. Larson was so moved by it all she joked she was "gonna go do a shot of tequila" to calm her nerves.

And just like that, Larson ended her ET interview, understandably so.
