Margot Robbie's reign as Barbie on the red carpet has come to a close at the 2024 Oscars.

For the grand awards show finale, Margot Robbie was Barbie personified on the 2024 Oscars red carpet.

The titular star of the Greta Gerwig-directed fantasy comedy stepped out at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday donning a black strapless and shimmery dress. She flaunted her looks alongside husband Tom Ackerley, who looked dapper in a classic tuxedo.

The look marks the latest Barbie-inspired ensemble for the actress and producer, who has been wearing recreations of signature Barbie outfits on red carpets since the press tour for the film began in the summer of 2023

While Robbie is not nominated for her acting in the film at the 96th annual ceremony, she still could win her first Oscar as Barbie is nominated for Best Picture and Robbie is a producer of the project.

The megahit, which has surpassed $1 billion at the box office, has earned seven more nods, including Best Supporting Actor and Actress nominations for Ryan Gosling and America Ferrera, a Best Adapted Screenplay nomination for Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach, and Best Original Song nominations for "I'm Just Ken" and "What Was I Made For?" However, Gerwig was notably not nominated for Best Director despite becoming the first solo female director to have a movie make $1 billion

Gosling was one of the film's stars to publicly address the shocking snubs. "There is no Ken without Barbie, and there is no Barbie movie without Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie, the two people most responsible for this history-making, globally-celebrated film," he said in part of a statement. "No recognition would be possible for anyone on the film without their talent, grit and genius. To say that I'm disappointed that they are not nominated in their respective categories would be an understatement."

However, Robbie is seemingly focused on the positive. As she told the crowd at a special SAG screening in January, "There's no way to feel sad when you know you’re this blessed."
