<a href="https://www.etonline.com/tv/nancy-drew" rel="" target="_blank">Nancy Drew</a> has one last mission to solve -- and it's a big one.

The CW's sleuth drama kicks off its <a href="https://www.etonline.com/cws-nancy-drew-to-end-with-season-4-193412" rel="" target="_blank">fourth and final season</a> Wednesday with the amateur investigator in quite the pickle. At <a href="https://www.etonline.com/nancy-drew-bosses-on-season-3-finale-cliffhanger-and-whats-next-exclusive-178524" rel="" target="_blank">the end of last season</a>, a deadly curse was placed on Nancy and Ace, forbidding the eponymous detective to act on her romantic feelings. If she does so, Ace will die. When season 4 begins -- the first episode is appropriately titled "The Dilemma of the Lover's Curse" -- Nancy continues to fight the urge to act on those feelings, shifting her focus (temporarily) on&nbsp;a new investigation to find a group of missing bodies from the local cemetery that have been dug up or possibly risen from the dead.&nbsp;

Of course, it wouldn't be Nancy Drew&nbsp;without some complications thrown her way, especially with the arrival of an attractive new hunk catching her eye. To make matters even more dicey, Ace may be tempted by a new relationship too.

"I am so happy to finally be bringing this season to the fans, and I'm really excited for them to see what we have in this final installment. And at the same time too, a little bit emotional,"&nbsp;Nancy Drew&nbsp;star Kennedy McMann tells ET.&nbsp;"It's sad to say goodbye, and it's crazy to finally be here. But I'm so glad we got to have a proper conclusion. And then, I guess, we get to celebrate the life of the show now with fans, so it's really exciting."

The leading lady spoke with ET about the final season, how she feels about saying farewell to Nancy and the show and what's in store for the Drew Crew.

ET: Did you know at the start of the season that this was going to be the end?

Kennedy McMann: No, we had no idea when we started. We were filming episode 8 or 9 is when we found out. I wasn't in the writers' room, I have no idea what they were contending with, but I think as with a lot of things that have happened on The CW network within the last year, the writing was on the wall a little bit. So I think that they were prepared, to an extent, to be able to pivot that way if that's the way that it went. And I'm honestly just so grateful that we were able to find out and write a proper series finale instead of leaving everybody with a terrible cliffhanger that will never be resolved, which was my greatest fear after season 3. I was like, "We have to get a season 4 because if I have to live with this season 3 finale conclusion, I don't think I'll ever have closure in my life."

How would you describe Nancy at the start of the season?

We find Nancy at the beginning of season 4 in a place of desperation for this new life that she's forging for herself. Obviously, she started Nancy Drew Investigations, which is exciting, albeit very intimidating. She's also living on her own for the first time and struggling to pay her electric bill and dealing with all these very adult things, which are, thankfully for her, a nice distraction to what is pretty constantly on her mind and causing her great anguish, which is the fact that her and Ace have this death curse looming over their heads. And we find them beginning of season 4, having not spoken for the last couple of weeks. She's in a bit of a frantic place, trying to grab onto anything she can that will stabilize her.

She's still putting on her sleuthing hat while also dealing with this curse, while also just balancing everything as she always kind of does. How is she navigating everything?

She definitely [has a lot on her plate], which like you said, she kind of always does, and in some ways I think has grown so much in these four seasons in terms of dealing with anything emotional. But I think this conflict that she has with what's happening between her and Ace and this new reality that she feels forced to accept, she's really struggling to admit to anyone just how much she's suffering. And even though she's come so far in terms of learning to lean on people and develop friendships, this feels like such a different realm of intensity. She got to confess to Carson what happened at the end of season 3 and thankfully she has him, but I think she's really trying to shake it off with this newfound fierce independence and self-support that really is, in her own classic way, running from the emotions of that problem and trying to see if she can outrun it. So yeah, it's a lot of, compartmentalizing for her and taking it one step at a time and one distraction at a time.

How does she get out of this curse? Does she figure out a way to break this curse with Ace?

In the beginning of the season, she's so committed to what she has determined is the best course of action, which is making sure Ace never finds out and never thinks that there's any possibility that they could ever be together. And in her mind, that's the safest and easiest way for him to be fully protected emotionally and physically. So she's very stuck in this decision that she's made. Some things definitely jostle her around. As the season progresses, it's almost a Pandora's box that if she dare open the lid of possibility that there is a way to break this curse that she would give everything to that. It would sort of be an overflow.

And I think that the pain of that not working, or God forbid, Ace getting hurt in their attempts, is almost too painful of a reality. But we definitely play on that whole scale throughout the season. We get to see both of them at peak desperation and hope and pain, and it's a real rollercoaster that touches on pretty much all of that, and it's so raw emotionally for both of them. And I think that that always leads to some pretty good TV.

There's also another new character that comes into the world, Tristan. What can you say about his arrival and how that shakes things up for Nancy?

We first meet Tristan in The Claw. He is The Claw's lobster guy. He's a fisherman who helps Nancy in the premiere, in kind of a sticky situation she finds herself in. And really, as the season goes on, he's full of surprises and becomes a really unexpected part of their journey in many different ways, and I think has a lot to offer this season and definitely adds to the general confusion that Nancy feels about everything in her life and how to proceed.

Will we see the gang back together solving mysteries?

Yeah, most definitely. I think all of their individual growth definitely continues. They're all at a place where they're figuring out what's next for them in their lives and it feels like a natural almost graduation moment to what's to come for each of them individually. But there's definitely some great full crew moments. I think that's such a pillar of the show and the real heart of the show, and I think people will really enjoy that, especially some particular antics that they get up to as a group and, of course, how the series closes, which I think will be really heartfelt for everybody.

Not to get ahead of myself, but in broad terms, how do you feel about the ending of this show and the end of Nancy's story?

I think it is just right. Without saying too much and not assuring any particular conclusions, I think it's definitely handled with care from our writers and is really an ode to the audience in a lot of ways.

How would you describe overall the season?

There's a ton to sink your teeth into in this season. Our primary season-long mystery is really developed episode by episode, and there's all of these different paths that Nancy and the crew go down, trying to figure out what's happening. And it's sort of one of those things where you have all of these individual pieces of information in the air that you're not quite sure how they all connect. And then there's one great moment of connection that really launches into the last chunk of the season. So, in terms of the mystery of it all and fans getting invested in that, there's so much room for theories and I'm really excited to see how people experience it in real time.

'Nancy Drew': Kennedy McMann on Final Season, Nancy and Ace's Romantic Curse (Exclusive)

<a href="https://www.etonline.com/tv/black-mirror" rel="" target="_blank">Black Mirror</a>&nbsp;officially has a premiere date!

After <a href="https://www.etonline.com/black-mirror-to-return-this-summer-with-season-6-debuts-moody-nsfw-teaser-203391" rel="" target="_blank">teasing a summer return</a>, the Netflix anthology series will launch its anticipated sixth season Thursday, June 15, it was announced Wednesday. The official two-minute trailer, as well as the episode titles, loglines and cast members were revealed as part of the announcement.

In the upcoming five-episode season, from creator Charlie Brooker,&nbsp;Black Mirror&nbsp;tells viewers to "expect the unexpected" as the series will be "the most unpredictable, unclassifiable and unexpected yet."

The trailer offers intriguing teases for each of the five installments, opening first with "Joan Is Awful," which revolves around a Netflix copycat called Streamberry that debuts a new TV show about an average woman's (Annie Murphy) life -- and Salma Hayek is the one playing her. She only discovers it when she opens the streaming service and stumbles across the show.

The next three episodes teased in the trailer are the space-set "Beyond the Sea" with <a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/aaron-paul" rel="" target="_blank">Aaron Paul</a> and <a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/josh-hartnett" rel="" target="_blank">Josh Hartnett</a>, the Hollywood paparazzi-centric "Mazey Day" with <a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/zazie-beetz" rel="" target="_blank">Zazie Beetz</a> and Danny Ramirez and the murderous "Demon 79."

As the trailer hypes up, the new season will transport viewers into "Five new worlds. Five new realities. Five new nightmares. Five new revelations. Five new hallucinations. Five new rabbit holes. Five new mindf**ks." Sounds about right.&nbsp;

Of course, the series had to poke fun at the current streaming era at the end of the trailer when someone offscreen asks, "You haven't seen&nbsp;Joan Is Awful?" "No, but it's on my list."&nbsp;Watch the trailer below.

'Black Mirror' Season 6 Trailer: Watch Salma Hayek Play the 'Netflix' Version of Annie Murphy

<a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/piper-perabo" rel="" target="_blank">Piper Perabo</a> is weighing in on the end of&nbsp;<a href="https://www.etonline.com/tv/yellowstone" rel="" target="_blank">Yellowstone</a>.

The actress plays Summer, an environmental activist who gets romantically involved with <a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/kevin-costner" rel="" target="_blank">Kevin Costner</a>'s John Dutton, on Paramount Network's blockbuster drama. Perabo sat down with ET's Rachel Smith on Tuesday in New York City to weigh in on <a href="https://www.etonline.com/kevin-costner-reportedly-wants-to-approve-how-hes-written-off-yellowstone-204278" rel="" target="_blank">the final episodes of the series</a>, which are due to start <a href="https://www.etonline.com/how-to-watch-yellowstone-season-5-online-before-the-hit-western-drama-returns-this-summer-194072" rel="" target="_blank">airing in November</a> (if the ongoing writers' strike doesn't delay its return), and also advocate for safe gun use in media and on Hollywood sets.

"I hope [the writers' strike] doesn't have an impact. I stand with the writers in solidarity and I'm really glad that they are fighting for fair wages and transparency and I hope that we can end this strike soon. I know [creator] Taylor Sheridan was writing before the strike was happening and one of the fun things about working on a Sheridan show is that you really don't know what’s gonna happen," Perabo tells ET while promoting "Trigger Warning: Gun Guidelines for the Media," a collaboration between Hollywood, Health &amp; Society at USC's Norman Lear Center and Brady United, an organization for gun control and gun safety. "I have no idea what’s happening next and the whole thing left off on this cliffhanger, so I'm waiting myself."

Paramount Network <a href="https://www.etonline.com/yellowstone-to-end-with-season-5-with-a-new-sequel-series-set-to-continue-the-dutton-story-204063" rel="" target="_blank">announced May 5</a> that&nbsp;Yellowstone&nbsp;would be ending in its current form after wrapping up season 5, with a sequel spinoff series launching in December. Though no cast members were attached to the new spinoff at the time of the announcement,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/matthew-mcconaughey" rel="">Matthew McConaughey</a> is lined up to star in a&nbsp;Yellowstone&nbsp;extension.

"If it were up to me, I would want it to keep going, but I know that Taylor is writing the prequels and he has all these things that he’s doing and he wants to expand the whole thing," Perabo said of&nbsp;Yellowstone's farewell,&nbsp;"so even though Yellowstone might be ending, there may be so many more things to come."

She said McConaughey "could be good in the&nbsp;Yellowstone&nbsp;world." Paramount boss Chris McCarthy <a href="https://www.etonline.com/matthew-mcconaugheys-yellowstone-spinoff-moving-forward-regardless-of-kevin-costners-fate-202011" rel="" target="_blank">intimated back in April</a> that a new Yellowstone&nbsp;series led by the Oscar winner was moving forward regardless of Costner's status on the flagship. "He lives in Texas, he understands the cowboy lifestyle," Perabo said. "This is what I gotta say, he better be a good rider because Taylor Sheridan is a great cowboy. But if you don't know how to ride, I don't know if cowboy schools [are] gonna get you up to Yellowstone level. You better come in with some experience."

While&nbsp;Yellowstone&nbsp;fans wait for the eventual return of the Duttons to the small screen, Perabo reflected on playing Costner's onscreen love interest and recalled her initial thoughts when she had her first kissing scene with the actor in a December 2022 episode.

"I went bananas over it when I saw it on the page. I had to go up to Kevin and be like, 'Um...,' and&nbsp;I just had to say, 'Let's just be respectful, I have to do this scene,'" Perabo remembered, admitting that there was weight behind that kiss between Summer and John at the county fair. "It's a little weird 'cause Kevin Costner is a big movie star! I was happy with the fan reaction. I mean, I love our show so much and I like how wild it is. I like how people get so excited and can't believe what’s happening next. That’s the kind of show I like to watch. The next day you go to work and you say, 'Oh my gosh, can you believe it?'"

And like the fans, Perabo isn't sure what the future holds for Summer after the midseason finale, which saw her character on house arrest at the Dutton house while the majority of the crew head off to Texas. "I don't&nbsp; know if we start the next [episode] and they're coming back from Texas. I don't know if we're all gonna go to Texas," she hypothesized, acknowledging that she can't comprehend life for Summer without John in it. "I also don't want to imagine a life for Summer in the winter in Montana. She's on house arrest so I hope John comes home or gets her sentence commuted to Texas."

Perabo has teamed up with USC's Norman Lear Center and Brady United to advocate for the depiction of safe gun use in media on the heels of a newly released study, "Trigger Warning," which aims to serve as a resource guide and highlights the ubiquity of guns in the media over the last few decades.&nbsp;

"It's talking about how we see guns predominantly on television and there’s a lot of ways that we need to work on this gun violence epidemic in America," Perabo said. "But we can all do something to work on this problem together. One thing we realized is how guns are portrayed on television and... we can tackle some of these problems by just normalizing safety. One of the things that I’m really proud of that we're talking about in the guide is safe storage. A lot of people who own firearms who are responsible gun owners, when they are finished using their firearm, do not unload it and store it in a secure place."

Perabo said that 4.6 million children live in households with an unsecured, loaded firearm, according to the study, and noted that gun violence is "the No. 1 cause of death for children and teens." According <a href="https://wonder.cdc.gov/controller/datarequest/D158;jsessionid=63943AC0B45AD52893397A22A027" target="_blank">to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Wonder database</a>, guns are the leading cause of death for children and teens in the&nbsp; U.S., <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2023/03/29/health/us-children-gun-deaths-dg/index.html" rel="" target="_blank">per CNN</a>. "We could make this country a lot safer if responsible gun owners, when they got home, unloaded their weapon and stored it in a secure place and that’s something we can show on television," Perabo elaborated.

"I’ve done so many shows that have guns. I worked on Covert Affairs for five years," she said of the USA Network action drama that ran from 2010 to 2014, where she played a CIA field operative. "My character carried guns all the time&nbsp;and I never thought about it when I was doing Covert Affairs. I never thought about, 'My character lives in a house that has two kids, where was I keeping my firearm?' And because I wasn’t thinking about it, I realized other actors that I know aren’t. Yellowstone is one of those shows where we have a great armorer on our set. It's a really responsible, really smart group of people that’s really safe and so I sort of started putting the pieces together."

She shared that on&nbsp;Yellowstone, precautions and protocols are put in place on set so that firearms are safe for the actors, the prop department and the armorer. "That's a real practical safety concern and that is something that&nbsp;Yellowstone&nbsp;takes very seriously and really understands," Perabo explained. Another part of it is how they're depicted within the narrative of the story. "How do we portray safety in the stories? So when the writers are conceiving of a storyline, that idea of where the gun gets put away, gets folded into the narrative."

In light of the Rust&nbsp;tragedy in October 2021, where a live round was discharged from a gun used by Alec Baldwin, resulting in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, Perabo said she is more cognizant of safety protocols on set. "I'm always very concerned with who is the armorer and I'm very aware of the protocols of safety for using a weapon on set. But now I think I'm also going to be aware of how we portray those weapons in the story, and that's something that as an actor, I have some say in," she said. "But I can encourage our writers and creators and our prop masters and certainly the armorers and how can we put those safety [guidelines] onscreen."

From her perspective, the actress shared that "the protocols have not changed" since she was on&nbsp;Covert Affairs&nbsp;more than a decade ago. "The sets that I'm on, there's really specific protocol about how a weapon is announced on set and that it's clear and safe and that multiple people have to check it," Perabo explained. "I always check my weapon and then I never put it down until I give it back to the armorer. That procedure hasn't changed... The safety procedures were the same on Covert Affairs as I see them on Yellowstone and other projects I've done."

Piper Perabo on the End of 'Yellowstone' and Advocating for Gun Safety on Set (Exclusive)

<a href="https://www.etonline.com/tv/lost" rel="" target="_blank">Lost</a>&nbsp;star <a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/harold-perrineau" rel="" target="_blank">Harold Perrineau</a> is speaking out.

In <a href="https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2023/05/lost-tv-show-culture" rel="" target="_blank">a new excerpt</a> from the upcoming book,&nbsp;Burn It Down: Power, Complicity, and a Call for Change in Hollywood, which chronicles the alleged toxic and hostile work environment behind the scenes of ABC's hit TV show, author Maureen Ryan spoke to writers and cast members across all six seasons, including Perrineau, who detailed their experiences. A writer also alleged that co-creator/co-showrunner <a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/damon-lindelof" rel="" target="_blank">Damon Lindelof</a> and co-showrunner Carlton Cuse were often not receptive to concerns that storylines were focusing primarily on the "hero characters," who were white.

Perrineau joined the supernatural series in 2004 as Michael after starring in&nbsp;Oz,&nbsp;the&nbsp;Matrix&nbsp;movies and Romeo + Juliet. The actor remembered being initially "hopeful" about the promise of the role, which he said had been sold to him as "equitable" when it came to splitting screen time across the expansive ensemble. He said in the book excerpt,&nbsp;which&nbsp;<a href="https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2023/05/lost-tv-show-culture" rel="" target="_blank">Vanity Fair</a>&nbsp;first shared Tuesday, "I was such a believer."

The 59-year-old actor said it became apparent, as the first season of&nbsp;Lost&nbsp;began to unfold, that&nbsp;"I was the Black guy. <a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/daniel-dae-kim" rel="" target="_blank">Daniel [Dae Kim</a>] was the Asian guy. And then you had Jack and Kate and Sawyer," who were played by <a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/matthew-fox" rel="" target="_blank">Matthew Fox</a>, <a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/evangeline-lilly" rel="" target="_blank">Evangeline Lilly</a> and <a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/josh-holloway" rel="" target="_blank">Josh Holloway</a>, respectively.

He pointed out an early version of the script for season 2's second episode, which revolved around Michael's son, Walt, getting kidnapped. That version of the script allegedly featured flashbacks that focused on Sawyer instead of Michael. Perrineau said he remembered being surprised at how little Michael mentioned his missing son, considering the circumstances. “I don’t think I can do that," Perrineau recalled. "I can’t be another person who doesn’t care about missing Black boys, even in the context of fiction, right? This is just furthering the narrative that nobody cares about Black boys, even Black fathers.”

The actor claimed he expressed his concerns about the script and the lack of depth or complexity he felt his character deserved to Lindelof and Cuse over a subsequent phone call. "If you're going to use me, let's work," Perrineau allegedly told the duo in that call. "I'm here to work. I'm good at my job and I'll do anything you want. Except be 'the Black guy' on your show." Perrineau claimed Lindelof and Cuse told him the episode was not centered around his character, though later a revised version of the script tweaked the flashbacks to focus on Michael. "I felt like suddenly they were mad at me," the actor alleged, claiming he filmed the flashbacks in a condensed two-day schedule of 14-, 18-hour work days.

Several weeks before filming was to begin on the season 2 finale, Perrineau claimed he was told by Cuse that he would not be asked back for season 3 and alleged the EP said he wasn't sure if Michael would ever make a return to the popular franchise.&nbsp;

"I was f**ked up about it. I was like, 'Oh, I just got fired, I think,'" Perrineau said of the alleged conversation. “I was like, ‘Wait a minute, what's happening?' [Cuse] said, 'Well, you know, you said to us, if we don't have anything good for you, you want to go.' I was just asking for equal depth." The actor claimed Cuse's response to his request was, "'Well, you said you don’t have enough work here, so we’re letting you go.'"

According to the excerpt, multiple sources alleged Lindelof said, in an apparent reaction to Perrineau's departure after season 2, that he "called me racist, so I fired his a**." Lindelof later responded to the allegations after they were brought up by the author, saying, "What can I say? Other than it breaks my heart that that was Harold's experience." He maintained that he did not recall "ever" saying those remarks after Perrineau's exit: "I’ll just cede that the events that you’re describing happened 17 years ago, and I don’t know why anybody would make that up about me."

Though Perrineau was written off the series after the second season, he was reinstated as a series regular in season 4. By the end, however, his character died in an explosion aboard a freighter. (He also returned for an appearance in the final season.) Perrineau took part in an interview after his onscreen death, where he blasted the tumultuous ending to Michael's journey. "It's like, what the hell? I came back for that?" he said in <a href="https://www.tvguide.com/news/lost-harold-perrineau-36053/" rel="" target="_blank">the original 2008 interview</a>. "I'm disappointed, mostly because I wanted Michael and Walt to have a happy ending. I was hoping Michael would get it together and actually want to be a father to his kid and try to figure out a way to get back [home]... If I were writing it, I would write it differently."

Lindelof acknowledged, as quoted in the excerpt, that there was "a high degree of insensitivity" with regard to the handling of Perrineau's concerns. Both he and Cuse cited the growth spurt of Perrineau's TV son, played by actor Malcolm David Kelley, as a crucial factor in how they went about approaching Michael's arc. Cuse acknowledged it was a story problem they "did not know how to solve," except to "resolve Michael's story at the end of season 2."

"Every single actor had expressed some degree of disappointment that they weren’t being used enough... That was kind of part and parcel for an ensemble show, but obviously there was a disproportionate amount of focus on Jack and Kate and Locke and Sawyer -- the white characters. Harold was completely and totally right to point that out," Lindelof said. "It’s one of the things that I've had deep and profound regrets about in the two decades since."

"I do feel that Harold was legitimately and professionally conveying concerns about his character and how significant it was that Michael and Walt -- with the exception of Rose -- were really the only Black characters on the show," he continued.&nbsp;

'Lost' Star Harold Perrineau Reveals the Real Story Behind His 2006 Exit

<a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/kyle-richards" rel="" target="_blank">Kyle Richards</a> is making a "fabulous" entrance on&nbsp;<a href="https://www.etonline.com/tv/how-i-met-your-father" rel="" target="_blank">How I Met Your Father</a>. The&nbsp;<a href="https://www.etonline.com/tv/the-real-housewives-of-beverly-hills" rel="" target="_blank">Real Housewives of Beverly Hills</a>&nbsp;star drops by the Hulu series, playing a character named Missy Moore, a famous celebrity with an enviable closet to boot.

In the latest episode, titled "Family Business,"&nbsp;Sophie (<a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/hilary-duff" rel="" target="_blank">Hilary Duff</a>) and her dad run business out of Pemberton's. Charlie (Tom Ainsley) and Jesse (<a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/chris-lowell" rel="" target="_blank">Chris Lowell</a>) meet women they like. ET exclusively debuts a sneak peek from Richards' guest appearance, wherein Val and Ellen are joyfully crash Missy's impressive walk-in closet and try on her fancy hats -- completely ignoring the "Off Limits, For Real!" sign on the door.

Richards' Missy catches them trying on her clothes and immediately calls them out, but like the star that she is, can't help but plug her new project. "Excuse me! This room is off limits, which coincidentally is the name of my new single featuring Tyga. Tell your friends!" Missy says with a smile.

When Val says she's "even more fabulous in real life," Missy wholeheartedly accepts the compliment. "I know! It's actually a problem. It's so hard to translate&nbsp;this to a camera."

But she's not here to make friends with Val and Ellen, who can't help but fangirl over meeting one of their faves. "Get out! I will call security and they are not afraid to hit women because they&nbsp;are&nbsp;women!" Missy exclaims, kicking the duo out of her closet.

Richards'&nbsp;HIMYF&nbsp;appearance is the latest acting gig for the reality star, who began her career as a child actor. The 54-year-old most recently returned to the&nbsp;Halloween&nbsp;horror franchise, appearing in the sequels&nbsp;Halloween Kills&nbsp;and&nbsp;Halloween Ends.&nbsp;She next stars in the LGBTQ+ holiday romance,&nbsp;The Holiday Exchange, opposite Rick Cosnett and Taylor Frey.&nbsp;

Netflix's first two seasons followed the books' order.&nbsp;Season 3, however, will loosely be based on Quinn's fourth book, Romancing Mister Bridgerton, which focuses on the love story between Colin and Penelope Featherington (<a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/nicola-coughlan" rel="" target="_blank">Nicola Coughlan</a>).&nbsp;

Coughlan <a href="https://www.etonline.com/nicola-coughlan-reveals-bridgerton-season-3-will-focus-on-penelope-and-colins-love-story-184144" rel="" target="_blank">announced the news</a> herself at the&nbsp;Bridgerton&nbsp;FYSEE panel in May 2022, and Rhimes later confirmed it via Instagram.&nbsp;

According to Netflix's official synopsis, season 3 finds&nbsp;Penelope (Coughlan) giving up on her long-held crush on Colin (Newton) after hearing his disparaging words about her last season. She has, however, decided it’s time to take a husband, preferably one who will provide her with enough independence to continue her double life as Lady Whistledown, far away from her mother and sisters. But lacking in confidence, Penelope’s attempts on the marriage mart fail spectacularly.

Meanwhile, Colin has returned from his summer travels with a new look and a serious sense of swagger. But he’s disheartened to realize that Penelope, the one person who always appreciated him as he was, is giving him the cold shoulder. Eager to win back her friendship, Colin offers to mentor Penelope in the ways of confidence to help her find a husband this season. But when his lessons start working a little too well, Colin must grapple with whether his feelings for Penelope are truly just friendly.

Complicating matters for Penelope is her rift with Eloise, who has found a new friend in a very unlikely place, while Penelope’s growing presence in the ton makes it all the more difficult to keep her Lady Whistledown alter ego a secret.

Rhimes hinted in March 2022 that show&nbsp;<a href="https://www.etonline.com/bridgerton-who-will-be-the-focus-of-season-3-shonda-rhimes-and-chris-van-dusen-weigh-in-exclusive" rel="" target="_blank">would not be following&nbsp;book order</a>,&nbsp;but reiterated her intent to tell everyone's story. "There's eight Bridgerton siblings, so we're planning on following each one of the siblings' romantic stories," she said.&nbsp;"We're not necessarily going in order but we are going to be seeing each of the siblings and their stories."

So far,&nbsp;Bridgerton&nbsp;has been renewed through season 4. Perhaps Benedict, whose love story was the focus of Quinn's third book, will take center stage then.

Was Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story part of Julia Quinn's original book series?&nbsp;

Queen Charlotte tells the <a href="https://www.etonline.com/is-queen-charlotte-true-7-questions-on-how-the-bridgerton-series-relates-to-todays-royal-family" rel="" target="_blank">semi-true</a>&nbsp;story&nbsp;of young Queen Charlotte (India Amarteifio) and King George's (Corey Mylchreest) romance, which took place several decades before Bridgerton&nbsp;begins. Billed as a limited series, the six-part tale tells the story in two timelines -- one during young Charlotte's reign and the other as a bridge between seasons 2 and 3 of&nbsp;Bridgerton.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Queen Charlotte was not part of Quinn's original book series, though the author collaborated with Rhimes to develop her story. The duo teamed to co-write&nbsp;Queen Charlotte: Before the Bridgertons came the love story that changed the ton..., which was released May 9, coinciding with the time of the show's launch.&nbsp;

Will Queen Charlotte&nbsp;affect Bridgerton season 3?&nbsp;

"There are some story points and story secrets that will definitely be played out in the next season of&nbsp;Bridgerton,"&nbsp;<a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/shonda-rhimes" target="_blank">Rhimes</a><a href="https://www.etonline.com/how-queen-charlotte-revelations-may-impact-bridgerton-season-3-exclusive-203937" target="_blank">&nbsp;told ET</a> in May 2023.&nbsp;

The flash-forwards in&nbsp;Queen Charlotte&nbsp;followed the elder titular protagonist as she implored her 13 grown children to find a suitable partner and bear an heir. By the end of the season, she received news that she and King George's fourth-eldest son, Prince Edward, and his wife, Princess Victoria, were expecting a child -- a girl. Per the history books, this child will later assume the throne as Britain's legendary Queen Victoria.&nbsp;

"I don't know that we're going to see her children or any of that," Rhimes said when asked if these plotlines would be worked into the larger fabric of Bridgerton. "For me and Golda, who plays Queen Charlotte, on Bridgerton [it] is sort of her front-of-the-house persona, who she is in front of the people. And Queen Charlotte really is the back of the house. You see the kids, you see her being a mom and I thought that was interesting for me to play with."

Rosheuvel filmed&nbsp;Queen Charlotte&nbsp;and&nbsp;Bridgerton&nbsp;at the same time. "It was very informative," she told&nbsp;ET in a separate interview.&nbsp;"It was really weird. It was discombobulating." The actress added,&nbsp;"A lot of the stuff [established in Queen Charlotte], I will take forward [in Bridgerton]. You can use it as another layer."&nbsp;

Has season 3 finished filming?&nbsp;

Yes. Netflix announced in March 2023 that production had ended on&nbsp;Bridgerton season 3. When the cast <a href="https://www.etonline.com/bridgerton-begins-filming-season-3-watch-the-adorable-cast-announcement-187643" rel="" target="_blank">began filming</a> in July 2022, the show released a promotional video featuring the cast&nbsp;holding three fingers to commemorate the beginning of their new chapter.&nbsp;

Coughlan and Newton ended the cute clip, with Newton opening the carriage door to reveal his co-star.&nbsp;

Netflix also announced that the Bridgertons' second-youngest daughter, Francesca, was recast for season 3.&nbsp;The role had been played by Ruby Stokes, but the character&nbsp;had only two brief appearances in season 1 and was featured in just a few episodes of season 2.&nbsp;<a href="https://www.etonline.com/tv/anatomy-of-a-scandal" target="_blank">Anatomy of a Scandal</a>&nbsp;star Hannah Dodd took over the role for season 3. The&nbsp;recasting was largely due to Stokes' starring role in Netflix's&nbsp;Lockwood &amp; Co,&nbsp;which ended up getting canceled after one season.

Julie Andrews will also continue to voice Lady Whistledown, despite the fact that it's revealed at the end of season 1 that Penelope is the true author.&nbsp;

"Oh, it's coming back. Oh definitely, yeah," Andrews <a href="https://www.etonline.com/bridgerton-narrator-julie-andrews-addresses-whether-shell-ever-appear-on-camera-exclusive-202975" rel="" target="_blank">confirmed to ET</a> in April of her return to narrating duties.

What storylines will appear in the new season?&nbsp;

Season 2 ended with wedding bells for Anthony and Kate, but there was plenty of drama for the ton to contend with in the upcoming season.&nbsp;

After keeping her Lady Whistledown identity a secret for much of season 2, Eloise discovers her best friend, Penelope, has been the one behind the quill this whole time -- leaving the friends estranged by the end of the finale. With their friendship broken, Jessie <a href="https://www.etonline.com/bridgerton-nicola-coughlan-and-claudia-jessie-on-penelope-eloises-big-lady-whistledown-fight-181414" rel="" target="_blank">offered her take</a> on how the revelation will impact Eloise moving forward.&nbsp;

"I think she'll be a good friend. That's what I think [she] always will be. I think she'll be a loyal friend [who] didn't tell anyone," Jessie hypothesized in March 2022.&nbsp;"I don't know what's going to happen. I mean, they might match scars but I don't think she will.&nbsp;I think she'll be furious, but then&nbsp;be really respectful and not say anything. I don't think she'll want to ruin Penelope."

"I hope that they are able to sort out their friendship as soon as possible, because I'll find that me and Nicola,&nbsp;we're never going to be able to be together again. And so I think that I'd like her to continue to explore that. What we see in season 2 really explores different ways of thinking and different groups of people, different parts of society," the&nbsp;actress added. "I'd love to see that expand for her, to get more political. She's young, she's really intelligent and she's very quick, so I think she's the perfect person to do that with. I'd really like to continue to explore intellectual writings, things like that."

Coughlan, meanwhile, had a different desire for Penelope as she embraces her role as the all-knowing gossip maven while also navigating love with Colin: "I do want her to find love and I don’t want her to stop writing Whistledown. I want her to have everything... I want her to have everything."

As for season 2 lovebirds Anthony and Kate, while they'll be taking a bit of a backseat in the new season, Ashley voiced her desires for the couple in a June 2022 interview. "I'm excited to see Kate become viscountess and head of the household," the actress&nbsp;<a href="https://www.etonline.com/bridgertons-simone-ashley-hopes-season-3-includes-babies-for-kate-and-anthony-185566" target="_blank">told&nbsp;IMDb</a>. "I think she has much to learn from Anthony. They'll be two little partners. I'd love to see them have a baby, to put it simply. Maybe that will happen, maybe it won't."

Add to that the lingering threads <a href="https://www.etonline.com/how-queen-charlotte-revelations-may-impact-bridgerton-season-3-exclusive-203937" rel="" target="_blank">introduced in </a><a href="https://www.etonline.com/how-queen-charlotte-revelations-may-impact-bridgerton-season-3-exclusive-203937" rel="" target="_blank">Queen Charlotte</a>, including Bridgerton matriarch Violet's sexual awakening, her tense friendship with Lady Danbury and the future of Queen Charlotte and King George, and there's plenty to get excited about.

What has been revealed about the episodes themselves?

In September 2022, as part of Netflix's virtual Tudum event, the <a href="https://www.etonline.com/bridgerton-season-3-premiere-episode-details-revealed-191394" rel="" target="_blank">first episode title of season 3</a> was revealed. Written by new showrunner Jess Brownell, who takes the reins from Chris Van Dusen, and directed by Tricia Brock, the premiere episode is titled "Out of the Shadows."&nbsp;

Bridgerton&nbsp;fans were also treated to the opening scene from the episode, with Coughlan -- in character as Lady Whistledown -- narrating from the script.

"Dearest Gentle Reader, we have been apart for far too long," Coughlan read. "At last, London's smart set has made its return and so too, has this author. As the season begins, the question on everyone's minds is: Of course, which newly minted debutante will shine the brightest? The crop this year appears to be rather dazzling indeed. Unfortunately, not every young lady can attract the light."

The first two seasons of Bridgerton&nbsp;are streaming now on Netflix, along with&nbsp;Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.

'Bridgerton' Season 3: Cast Announcements, Filming, Release Updates and More

<a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/donny-osmond" rel="" target="_blank">Donny Osmond</a> is looking back on his decades-long career. The 65-year-old entertainer is currently starring in&nbsp;Donny, his Las Vegas residency which runs through Saturday, May 27 at Harrah's Las Vegas before returning Sept. 5, and is preparing to take the show on the road for a summer tour beginning July 18 in Waterbury, Connecticut.

ET recently sat down with Osmond for a visit down memory lane for ET's latest rETrospective segment, featuring old interviews from the vault (including his first with ET in 1981!), career highlights and his most memorable performances.&nbsp;

From his first TV appearance on&nbsp;The Andy Williams Show&nbsp;and&nbsp;a performance of his 1972 song, "Puppy Love," to <a href="https://www.etonline.com/gallery/103061_The_Complete_List_Dancing_with_the_Stars_Winners" rel="" target="_blank">winning season 9 of&nbsp;</a><a href="https://www.etonline.com/gallery/103061_The_Complete_List_Dancing_with_the_Stars_Winners" rel="" target="_blank">Dancing With the Stars</a>&nbsp;and <a href="https://www.etonline.com/the-masked-singer-season-1-finale-today-live-updates-2019-02-27" rel="" target="_blank">coming close to taking the Masked Singer&nbsp;crown</a>, Osmond opened up about what he remembers from his career.&nbsp;One of the clips featured Osmond with his younger sister, <a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/marie-osmond" rel="" target="_blank">Marie Osmond</a>, when they spoke with ET to promote their rebooted daytime talk show,&nbsp;Donny &amp; Marie, which ran from 1998 to 2000. (Their original variety show ran from 1976 to 1979.)

"It was always assumed that Donny and Marie would come back together and do something 'cause we ended our show in '78, '79 and in [1998], we came back together again to do a talk show and I thought, 'This is gonna be interesting. This is gonna be kind of fun. Let's go for it, Marie,'" Osmond recalled thinking at the time. "We cleared all these stations all across the country and we went for it."

"There was something about the combination about Donny and Marie, and it wouldn't have worked had we not been siblings in my opinion," he said, acknowledging the bond he had with his sister. "But because we grew up together, we spent so much time together as siblings. I joined the band, The Osmond Brothers, [which] kind of separated us and then Marie joined when she was like 12 or 13 and the whole Donny &amp; Marie thing came together again. There was something organic about that and when she hit me with pies and hit me in the stomach or slapped me, it was all natural. It was all organic. I think a lot of people really related to that in families and it was all in fun."

The siblings performed for <a href="https://www.etonline.com/donny-and-marie-osmond-tearfully-perform-their-last-las-vegas-residency-show-136538" rel="" target="_blank">the last time together in 2019</a> after wrapping up an impressive 11-year run&nbsp;for their Las Vegas show&nbsp;at the Flamingo. Osmond admitted that he's missed working with his sister since then and seemed to close the door on reuniting with Marie professionally. "I miss working with her because we had such a rapport onstage, but that whole era is passed," Osmond said. "It's gone, it's done."

Of course, circumstances can change, which he acknowledged. "Revisiting the Donny &amp; Marie thing, it would have to be the right thing," Osmond said. "Marie would have to agree with it obviously."

"I have been in this business for a long time. I learned to never say never, but there's nothing in the back of my mind and I don't think there is in the back of Marie's mind of reuniting," Osmond shared. "Maybe a one-off, but to do a Las Vegas performance like we did for 11 years, with the Donny &amp; Marie talk show for several years, there's nothing that has really sparked both of our minds yet."

For now, Osmond has quite a busy rest of 2023 ahead with his upcoming&nbsp;Donny&nbsp;tour and returning to his Las Vegas residency, which will keep him booked through November. He'll then go overseas to bring his show to the U.K. until mid-December.

"The thing I love about my residency here in Las Vegas, mostly is the fact that I put six decades of show business into a 90-minute show, which sounds like that's impossible," Osmond said.&nbsp;But we did it and do a rap in the show. I put all 65 albums that I've done in the show. And people say, 'How do you do 65 albums in one show?' You have to see it to understand how I do it. The dancers that I selected for the show, the band, the crew, the sound, the visuals. We put a lot of effort into this; I put so much effort into this. In fact, somebody said, 'Donny, how long did it take for you to put this show together?' And I said, '60 years.' Because you see my whole life, just like that, in one show."

The entertainer also reflected on his storied career, sharing his take on why he's been able to have longevity in an industry as unstable as Hollywood.

"To be able to say that I've been in show business for six decades, it's a shock for some people to hear that. And to still be relevant," Osmond reminisced. "I'm not as popular as I was, you know, as a teenybopper in the '70s. But then again, the career now is even better, in my opinion, than the '70s. Because there's so much breadth to it. There's so much to draw from my repertoire [and it] is so much fun to pull things from. When I put this show together in Las Vegas, I had the time of my life because I had to leave a lot of things on the editing room floor because there wasn't enough time to put everything I wanted to do or that I've done in show business into the show."

He revealed that several famous names have even reached out to him to get advice or tips on how to successfully put on a Las Vegas show.

"People have referred to me as the OG of Las Vegas, right? Adele is across the street and you have all these major headliners... I'm not going to disclose names, but some people have called me and said, 'Do you have any advice? What do you do to have a successful show?' And they've even said, 'Donny, you need to put on a masterclass on how to put a show together,'" Osmond revealed.

"Maybe someday I'll do something like that. But it's a nice compliment that these entertainers, they call me and they're just interested in saying, 'Give us some pointers, give us some techniques,'" he continued. "The main takeaway from the Donny show, when I first put this whole show together, I said I want people to leave my theater thinking they just spent 90 minutes in my living room. And it works."

Donny&nbsp;runs through Saturday, May 27 at Harrah's Las Vegas before returning Sept. 5. The&nbsp;Donny&nbsp;summer tour kicks off Tuesday, July 18 in Connecticut and wraps Sunday, Aug. 13 in Reno, Nevada.

Donny Osmond Reveals Whether He and Sister Marie Will Work Together Again in the Future (Exclusive)

<a href="https://www.etonline.com/event/hallmark-channel" rel="" target="_blank">Hallmark Channel</a>'s multigenerational family drama,&nbsp;Ride, closes out its freshman season on Sunday, and everything has led up to this.

The series follows the McMurrays, a rodeo dynasty that goes back a generation, as they struggle to keep their beloved ranch afloat. After the death of the eldest son, each character embarks on a journey of transformation and self-discovery while also uncovering a twisted web of secrets threatening to tear the family and their small Colorado town apart at the seams. In the season 1 finale, titled "Andalusians," the National Cheyenne Rodeo gives Cash (Beau Mirchoff) his final chance to win the Frontier deal. It’s a race against time and an unexpected twist will shock the McMurray family, led by matriarch Isabel (<a href="https://www.etonline.com/last-man-standing-tim-allen-and-nancy-travis-on-saying-goodbye-after-9-seasons-exclusive-166097" rel="" target="_blank">Nancy Travis</a>), to the core.&nbsp;

"Everything, every storyline, anything that's kind of kicked down the road all meets here," Mirchoff, who plays the McMurrays' middle son, teased to ET ahead of Sunday's season closer. "There's a bunch of shady stuff going on and Cash has to contend with some pretty high-stake decisions. The whole family is forced to come together and either sink or swim. They go through that, for better or for worse. And then every question that's answered poses new questions."

"It's been fun to watch people find the show and gravitate towards it and enjoy it and get something out of it," he said. "Everything's kind of really come to a head for the season finale, so all the storylines are coming together and intertwining and I'm really excited to see what the fans' reactions are."

ET exclusively premieres a sneak peek from the finale, which features a crucial scene between Missy (Tiera Skovbye) and Cash. The two have skirted around their complex feelings for each other all season long and in the scene, Missy accidentally discovers an Andalusian necklace with her name engraved on it -- reminding her of a wooden jewelry box with the same horse emblazoned on it that her late husband, Austin, once gifted her with. It prompts her to possibly re-evaluate her future romantically as she's caught between a brewing love triangle with Cash and Gus (Tyler Jacob Moore), the son of a rich oil tycoon interested in investing in the McMurray ranch.

"Cash puts himself out there, as does Missy too," Mirchoff hinted at Missy and Cash's potential romantic developments. "And so there's a big moment between them in the finale, a big moment. I don't want to say too much. Unfortunately, I think maybe more questions are posed than answered."

"But I will say, I think it's maybe a surprise," the 34-year-old actor continued. "I think viewers will be surprised with how it ends. I don't think it's exactly what everyone would think. With her choices available, I think it's a bit of a surprise."

Mirchoff, who viewers may be familiar with through his roles in&nbsp;Awkward&nbsp;and&nbsp;Good Trouble, reflected on his character's journey across the 10-episode season, calling it "a pretty good" one.

"He's been forced to contend with himself and his demons and everything that holds him back. He's made some wrong decisions but learned from them. I think in episode 10, he's really in the crucible," he said. "He really has an opportunity; a big choice is up for him. And it's one of those decisions in life where if you know can go one or the other way, it's going to maybe have big ramifications for the rest of your life.

"So yeah, it all leads up to this point. I loved his journey. I thought it was really interesting and really fun to play as a really complicated person trying to... We're all just trying to be happy at the end of the day," Mirchoff observed. "I enjoyed investigating that with Cash. I love that part about acting where sometimes it can parallel your life even when you don't mean it to. But you have to ask yourself the same questions that the character is going through and it always raises interesting realizations for yourself."

Without spoiling what happens in the finale, there are several loose threads that are left untied and a major cliffhanger in the closing moments that will leave viewers humming for a second season.

"We're optimistic. How can they not? The show's great and fans love it. I mean, let's go, Hallmark. Greenlight this baby," Mirchoff said of a possible pickup, sharing that he and the cast are gathering at Travis' home to watch the finale Sunday.&nbsp;

"And I feel like the show is really starting to figure out what it was by the end. It takes shows time to find a stride -- most shows," he added. "I think season 2 would be just great. If we realize what works, what doesn't and we really go after the drama and really, really get to dive deeper, it would be fun. I love the show, I love the world. I think Hallmark has to do it. Come on, Hallmark, pick it up. Let's go!"

The season finale of&nbsp;Ride&nbsp;airs Sunday, May 28 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Hallmark Channel.

Hallmark's 'Ride': Beau Mirchoff Warns 'Everything Comes to a Head' in Season 1 Finale 

BET will pay tribute to <a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/tina-turner" rel="" target="_blank">Tina Turner</a>, the legendary Queen of Rock 'n' Roll, with an exclusive Entertainment Tonight news special,&nbsp;BET &amp; ET Present Tina Turner: Life and Legacy, that will air Thursday, May 25 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

BET Her and VH1 will air an encore of the special Friday, May 26 at 10 a.m. ET/PT and 6 p.m. ET/PT, respectively.&nbsp;

The one-hour special will feature over 40 years of archival footage from ET's vault and highlights from more than 30 interviews with 12-time GRAMMY winner and two-time Rock &amp; Roll Hall of Fame inductee Turner at various stages of her life as she reflects on her career. It will also recount definitive moments in Turner's life, including how she didn't think her 1984 best-selling single, "What's Love Got to Do With It," would become a worldwide hit, her dream of becoming an actor and never giving up on finding true love.

"Tina Turner was a global powerhouse, humanitarian, and undisputable Queen of Rock &amp; Roll. Turner <a href="https://www.etonline.com/tina-turner-legendary-queen-of-rock-n-roll-dead-at-83-196497" rel="" target="_blank">died Wednesday</a>&nbsp;after a long illness in her home in Küsnacht near Zurich, Switzerland. She was 83.

"It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tina Turner. With her music and her boundless passion for life, she enchanted millions of fans around the world and inspired the stars of tomorrow," the statement read. "Today we say goodbye to a dear friend who leaves us all her greatest work: her music. All our heartfelt compassion goes out to her family. Tina, we will miss you dearly."

Turner is survived by her husband, German music executive Erwin Bach, <a href="https://www.etonline.com/tina-turner-and-erwin-bachs-relationship-timeline-from-love-at-first-sight-to-marrying-almost-30" rel="" target="_blank">whom she married in 2013</a>, and&nbsp;adopted sons Michael&nbsp;and Ike Jr. Her sons,&nbsp;Ronnie Turner and Craig Turner, died in&nbsp;<a href="https://www.etonline.com/tina-turner-mourns-death-of-beloved-son-ronnie-195782" rel="" target="_blank">December 2022</a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href="https://www.etonline.com/tina-turners-oldest-son-dead-at-59-105463" rel="" target="_blank">July 2018</a>, respectively.&nbsp;
