It was also announced that the cast of Stereophonic has been added to the list of star-studded performances, joining previously announced performances from Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club, Hell's Kitchen, Illinoise, Merrily We Roll Along, Suffs, The Outsiders, The Who's Tommy and Water for Elephants.

Airing live from the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City, the Tony Awards cap off a strong year for Broadway, which saw several successful revivals and the debut of several popular new shows.

Earning the most nominations of any production, Hell's Kitchen and Stereophonic came out on top, with a total of 13 nominations each, followed by The Outsiders with 12. Additionally, Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club and Merrily We Roll Along were the most recognized revivals of the year, collecting 9 and 7 nominations, respectively.

When it comes to the acting prizes, Merrily We Roll Along's Jonathan Groff, Daniel Radcliffe and Lindsay Menendez each earned nominations for their respective performances.

Jolie recently attended the debut of The Outsiders with her daughter, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt. Angelina, 48, and Vivienne, 15, serve as producer and a producer's assistant, respectively, of the stage adaptation of the film and the 1967 novel by S. E. Hinton, which takes place in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1967.

"Ponyboy Curtis, his best friend Johnny Cade and their Greaser family of outsiders battle with their affluent rivals, the Socs. This thrilling new Broadway musical navigates the complexities of self-discovery as the Greasers dream about who they want to become in a world that may never accept them," reads the play's description on the show's official site.

Jolie's role in the production was announced last year. At the time, the actress-director said she was inspired to join the team after seeing the play with Vivienne at the La Jolla Playhouse.

Vivienne made headlines when it was revealed that she is credited as Vivienne Jolie in the show's playbill. A source previously told ET that Vivienne asked not to have Pitt added to her name, a move that echoed her older sister, Zahara's, stance. The teen introduced herself as "Zahara Marley Jolie" during a sorority ceremony event at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia.

Jolie and Brad Pitt, who ended their more-than decade-long romance in 2016, share six kids: Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and 15-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox.

Shiloh, meanwhile, appears to be the first Jolie-Pitt child to take legal action regarding their name. A source previously told ET that Shiloh filed the papers asking to be known as Shiloh Jolie on her 18th birthday, which fell on May 27.

"Shiloh hired her own lawyer and paid for it herself, so Angie doesn't know and can't speak for it," a source told ET after the news broke.

Check out the video below for more on how Vivienne was brought on to produce The Outsiders alongside her mom.

Hosted once again by Ariana DeBose, the 77th Tony Awards will air live on Sunday, June 16, at 5 p.m. PT/8p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+.
