Watch Jelly Roll FaceTime His Mom at the 2024 GRAMMYs (Exclusive)

The country singer made sure to call his mom while on the GRAMMYs red carpet.

It's a big night for Jelly Roll at the 2024 GRAMMYs

On Sunday, the country singer -- who is nominated in two categories -- attended the music ceremony for the first time ever, and he made sure to share the special moment with his mom, Louise Monette. Though she wasn't in attendance at the awards show, the 39-year-old FaceTimed her while on the red carpet with ET's Kevin Frazier.

"Hey, Mama! I'm on the red carpet with ET," Jelly Roll tells his mom over the phone. "Everybody's asking about you."

Jelly Roll tells ET, "She says she's in Nashville holding it down."

The musician then wraps up the call, telling his mom, "I love you. I'll FaceTime you later, Mama."

Jelly Roll told ET that his mom would be watching the ceremony from home.

"She wanted to come, but we just couldn't. I was worried her having a wheelchair, getting her in and out of the carpet and stuff, but she's watching from home," Jelly Roll explained. "I mean, she's FaceTimed me 10 times now already."

Jelly Roll is up for Best New Artist and Best Country Duo/Group Performance for his soul-stirring rendition of "Save Me" with collaborator Lainey Wilson.

Of the nominations, Jelly Roll said, "It's unreal, man. Being recognized by the Academy and being here to represent Nashville and being able to represent country music and my slice of America that's often not spoken for -- it's a lot of people that have never been represented that are represented here tonight. We didn't come to win, we came to represent, baby!"

For his big night, Jelly Roll brought his 16-year-old daughter, Bailee Ann, as well as his wife, Bunnie Xo. "We're walking this red carpet together, which is just makes a dream even better," he noted.

He also made a major fashion statement in a custom Louis Vuitton outfit designed by Pharrell Williams. "I couldn't believe it," Jelly Roll gushed. "P dressed me himself. Man, this is the first time I've ever worn designer."

Jelly Roll previously reflected on his journey and the overwhelming emotions leading up to Sunday's GRAMMY Awards, telling ET, "I'm worried about Sunday. Yeah, I think up until then, we're just partying, enjoying it with everybody, but I think Sunday's gonna be a real thing for me. Probably when I stand on that red carpet and I realize the magnitude of me actually being at the GRAMMYs. And I have a rule in life, man -- you do everything the first time like you'll never do it again, and that's how we're doing it this week."

The 2024 GRAMMY Awards is on Sunday, Feb. 4, at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET and being broadcast and streamed live on CBS and Paramount+ from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Follow along at ETonline.com for full coverage from music's biggest night, including performances, GRAMMY winners and more.
