Maks on 'DWTS' Hair Compliments: You Hypocrites!

Following his fun cha-cha with Kirstie Alley on Dancing with the Stars that had him wearing a wig, professional dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy wasn't very keen on accepting compliments about how he looked with long hair.

"Can I just say? You bunch of hypocrites!" he said backstage after the show when the topic of his hair arose. "Everybody comes up to me... [and says], 'Your [hair] is so amazing; you should grow it out.' How about everybody replay Season 3 and 4 when I did look like a Pocahontas and everybody said, 'You gotta cut this. It's definitely not working.'"

As the creative director of Monday's dancer, his celebrity partner Kirstie Alley offered her suggestion as to why people didn't dig him previous hairdo, telling him, "You didn't have eyeliner on, Maks...Men should wear eyeliner--I'm just saying."

Dancing with the Stars
viewers may not get the opportunity to see Maks again on the show with his natural short hair, as he and Alley were tied for the night's lowest score (24 out of 30) with Drew Lachey heading into the show's double elimination.

Receiving an eight from each judge wouldn't normally put a couple in jeopardy on the show's previous seasons, but the intensity of the All-Star season's competition has produced a tightly packed leader board and a surprising elimination in Joey Fatone.

On the other end of the leader board was Melissa Rycroft, who tied with Kelly Monaco for a week-high score of 27. With the double elimination looming and the competition tight, Rycroft's professional dancer Tony Dovolani revealed that the high marks don't give him added security that elimination won't strike him and his partner.

"We left it all on the dance floor. When that confetti shot up at the end, it was just such a sense of accomplishment," he said he and Rycroft's samba. "It was pretty cool, but tomorrow night is going to be interesting because it's double elimination. Nobody's safe. You might be at the top of the leader board, but we've seen leaders go home before."

While the majority of the dancing pairs expressed anxiety about the impending eliminations, Bristol Palin revealed that she isn't entangled in thoughts of a potential elimination despite receiving the lowest score in back-to-back weeks.

"I really didn't even think about it," Palin said of her mentality during her pasodoble with partner Mark Ballas. "I think that I'm just focused on just getting this dance done, just getting through it, and there's nothing I can do now. It's just all up to the voters"
