The Women of 'Black Panther' Crush the 2019 Oscars Red Carpet

The women of Wakanda is here to slay the 2019 Oscars! 

The female stars of Black Panther have arrived on the red carpet and we are bowing down to their stunning looks. 

The record-breaking box office hit has racked up whopping seven Academy Award nominations. It is the first comic book film to be nominated in the Best Picture category, and is also nominated for Best Sound Mixing, Best Sound Editing, Best Original Score, Best Costume Design, Best Production Design, and Best Original Song for Kendrick Lamar and SZA's "All the Stars." 

Although the storyline centers around T'Challa / Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) and Erik Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan), the ensemble cast boasts a strong female presence from Gurira's portrayal of warrior Okoye to Angela Bassett's regal performance of Queen Ramonda.

Although she skipped the Oscars red carpet, Lupita Nyong'o did not disappoint when we saw her at the Vanity Fair party in a breathtaking white feathered one-shoulder Oscar de la Renta gown, which she adorned with Forevermark jewelry and Roger Vivier shoes.
