The female stars of Black Panther have arrived on the red carpet and we are bowing down to their stunning looks.

It is the first comic book film to be nominated in the Best Picture category, and is also nominated for Best Sound Mixing, Best Sound Editing, Best Original Score, Best Costume Design, Best Production Design, and Best Original Song for Kendrick Lamar and SZA's "All the Stars."

Although the storyline centers around T'Challa / Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) and Erik Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan), the ensemble cast boasts a strong female presence from Gurira's portrayal of warrior Okoye to Angela Bassett's regal performance of Queen Ramonda.
