The 15 Biggest Celebrity Feuds and Epic Clapbacks of the 2010s

As we say goodbye to the 2010s, let's take a look at the most epic celebrity feuds and clapbacks of the past decade.

As we say goodbye to the 2010s, let's take a look at the most epic celebrity feuds and clapbacks of the past decade.

From life-altering exposures to shocking pettiness, celebrities weren't always about playing nice with one another in the 2010s, due in large part to the increasing importance of social media in the past 10 years -- particularly Instagram, which started in 2010. Check out the most memorable feuds that we're still talking about today.

Drake vs. Pusha T:

This is what happens when a celeb beef gets a little too personal.

Drake has had plenty of beefs over the past decade -- let's not forget how "Back to Back" completely embarrassed Meek Mill -- but none were as devastating as when Pusha T exposed his secret child.

Although Drake is undeniably more famous that Pusha T, it's safe to say he lost their rap battle in May 2018, when Pusha exposed that Drake had a child before Drake went public with the information. In Pusha's now-legendary diss track, "The Story of Adidon," he showed an old photo of Drake in blackface as the cover art and rapped about how Drake had an illegitimate child with former adult film star Sophie Brussaux.

"Let 'em know who you chose as your Beyoncé. Sophie knows better as your baby mother," Pusha raps. "Cleaned her up for IG, but the stench is on her. A baby's involved, it's deeper than rap. We talkin' character, let me keep with the facts. You are hiding a child, let that boy come home. Deadbeat mothaf**ka playin' border patrol, ooh."

Drake later acknowledged he had a son named Adonis on his album, Scorpion, that dropped in June 2018. Drake also addressed the scandal during his appearance on LeBron James’ HBO show, The Shop, which aired in October 2018. Drake confirmed he had a "beautiful boy" and also referenced his own bad blood with Kanye West, saying he believed that the rapper told Pusha T about his son.

Although Drake's rap beef with Pusha T had serious repercussions given the exposure of his son, these days, Drake has a sense of humor about it. In May 2019, he joked about the scandal when the diehard Toronto Raptors fan responded to Milwaukee Bucks owner Dan Edens' daughter, Mallory, wearing a Pusha T shirt courtside to troll him.

Gwyneth Paltrow vs. Martha Stewart:

Five years later, and we're still thinking about "conscious uncoupling" and "jailbird cake."

The battle of the most famous celebrity lifestyle gurus got a little spicy in 2014, and proved that Paltrow and Stewart were more than worthy adversaries of one another.

Stewart fired shots first in September 2014, when she didn't hold back on her thoughts when it came to Paltrow's controversial lifestyle brand, Goop.

"She just needs to be quiet," Stewart told Porter magazine about Paltrow. "She's a movie star. If she were confident in her acting, she wouldn't be trying to be Martha Stewart."

One month later, Paltrow responded to the diss during her appearance at Fortune's Most Powerful Women Summit. "If I'm really honest, I'm so psyched that she sees us as competition," the Iron Man actress said. "I really am."

She also quipped, "No one has ever said anything bad about me before, so I’m shocked and devastated. I'll try to recover."

But this is when the feud got even more interesting. Instead of more traditional barbs, the two women started to hit back at one another with recipes. Yes, recipes.

In the November 2014 issue of Martha Stewart Living, Stewart openly mocked Paltrow's now infamous term, "conscious uncoupling," which she used to announce her and Chris Martin's split. When introducing her holiday pie recipes, Stewart titled the story "Conscious Coupling."

"Every Thanksgiving table should be blessed with the presence of a long-married pair who bring out the best in each other, are completely enamored despite their differences, and leave every other guest thinking, I’ll have what they're having," the intro reads. "Our holiday pies honor such so there’s a pleasant mix of textures and flavors in every bite. No matter how you slice partnerships, each spotlighting the perfect marriage of crust and filling these six irresistible desserts, there is a whole lot to love."

Not one to back down, Paltrow hit back with her own recipe later that month -- "jailbird cake," a not so subtle reference to Stewart's time in jail in October 2004 for insider trading.

Lesson here? Don't mess with Stewart or Paltrow.

Taylor Swift vs. Kanye West and Kim Kardashian:

It's the feud that has changed the history of pop culture.

West unforgettably grabbed the mic from Swift at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2009, but their feud continued well into the 2010s and still doesn't have an end in sight. Although the two appeared to make nice in 2015 when they greeted each other warmly backstage at the GRAMMYs that year, by 2016, they were at it again thanks to the lyrics in West's song, "Famous."

"I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that b**ch famous," he raps.

Although West claimed that Swift had approved the lyrics ahead of time and thought it was funny, Swift took a major dig at him during her acceptance speech for Album of the Year at the 2016 GRAMMYs.

"I want to say to all the young women out there, there are going to be people along the way who try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments and your fame," she pointedly said. "But if you just focus on the work and you don't let those people sidetrack you, some day when you get where you're going, you'll look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you who put you there and that will be the greatest feeling in the world," she concluded.

Enter Kim Kardashian.

Kardashian staunchly defended her husband amid the controversy over the lyrics and escalated the feud to a whole new level in June 2016 when she took to Snapchat to leak snippets of the incomplete video recording of a phone call between West and Swift. During the phone call, Swift seemingly approves the "Famous" lyric and calls it a "compliment" -- although according to her rep, West never told Swift he was calling her “that b**ch" in the song. She goes on to say that she'd tell reporters, when asked, that West called her about the lyrics and that she was in on it.

After Kardashian's snaps went live -- and a #KimExposedTaylorParty began trending on Twitter -- Swift responded and asked to be "excluded from the narrative."

"Where is the video of Kanye telling me he was going to call me 'that b**ch' in his song? It doesn't exist because it never happened," she said in a statement on her social media pages."Being falsely painted as a liar when I was never given the full story or played any part of the song is character assassination. I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since 2009."

Swift has since admitted the period of people calling her a "snake" after Kardashian posted her recording had a deep effect on her, heavily influencing her 2017 album, Reputation. Swift is clearly still upset about that period in her life to this day. In a September 2019 interview with Rolling Stone, she addressed her and West's decade-long feud and acknowledged she still gets worked up about it.

"I started to feel like we reconnected, which felt great for me -- because all I ever wanted my whole career after that thing happened in 2009 was for him to respect me," Swift told the magazine about the period in which they appeared to have put the past behind them. "When someone doesn’t respect you so loudly and says you literally don’t deserve to be here -- I just so badly wanted that respect from him, and I hate that about myself, that I was like, 'This guy who’s antagonizing me, I just want his approval.' But that’s where I was."

Taylor Swift vs. Katy Perry:

Kevin Mazur

Swift and Perry's "Bad Blood" will never be forgotten.

Although West and Swift may still be at odds with one another, one long feud that Swift has smashed before the new decade is her years-long feud with Perry.

It all started in September 2014, when Swift talked about her song, "Bad Blood," with Rolling Stone, and said it was about a feud with a fellow pop star. Fans quickly deduced she was referring to Perry.

"For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not," Swift said. "She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, 'Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?'"

"She did something so horrible," she continued. "I was like, 'Oh, we're just straight-up enemies.' And it wasn't even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me.”

Several internet commenters then noted that Perry did lure a few backup dancers away from Swift's tour as she embarked on her own Prismatic tour in 2014. Perry herself didn't shy away from Swift's Rolling Stone comments, tweeting the next day: "Watch out for the Regina George in sheep's clothing..."

In January 2015, Perry confirmed the Means Girls reference was pointed at Swift.

"If somebody is trying to defame my character, you're going to hear about it," Perry told Billboard magazine when asked if her tweet was about the "Shake It Off" singer.

When Swift became embroiled in her own battle with Nicki Minaj over the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards nominees, Perry piled on with her own devastating tweet about "Bad Blood."

"Finding it ironic to parade the pit women against other women argument about as one unmeasurably capitalizes on the take down of a woman," Perry wrote.

In May 2017, Perry directly gave her side of the story when she appeared on Carpool Karaoke.

"Honestly, it's really like she started it and it's time for her to finish it," Perry said. "She wouldn't speak to me. I do the right thing any time that it feels like a fumble. It was a full shut-down and then she writes a song about me and I'm like, 'OK, cool, cool, cool. That's how you wanna deal with it?'"

"But, what I wanna say is that I'm ready for that BS to be done," she added. "Now, there is the law of cause and effect. You do something and there's going to be a reaction. And trust me, Daddy, there's going to be a reaction. It's all about karma."

Swift stayed silent on Perry's comments about her, but her actions spoke louder than words. She announced on June 8, 2017 that her entire song catalog would return to all streaming services at midnight -- just when Perry's Witness album dropped.

By May 2018, Perry was ready to put the feud behind them. One night before her Reputation tour kicked off, Swift shared a video of an olive branch and a note from Perry on her Instagram Stories. A closer look at the handwriting shows that Perry apologized to Swift.

"Hey old friend, I've been doing some reflecting on past miscommunications and the feelings between us, I really want to clear the air," the note reads.

Swift reciprocated the feelings. After baking Perry cookies, the two made it clear their feud was over with Swift's "You Need to Calm Down" music video, in which Perry made a cameo as a hamburger who hugged it out with Swift, who was dressed up as french fries.

Jimmy Kimmel vs. Kanye West:

Kimmel and West's feud gave us the hashtags that will live in infamy -- #NODISRESPECTTOBENAFFLECK #ALLDISRESPECTTOJIMMYKIMMEL.

West has never been shy on Twitter and showed this in one of the most epic rants on the platform of all time -- when West hit back at Kimmel after the late-night host made a video spoof of his BBC interview in 2013. Kimmel used child actors to reenact some of West's most outrageous comments, including that he invented leather jogging pants and West's claim that he was "the biggest rock star."

Kimmel joked, "Does Kanye West know he's not supposed to be his own hype man?"

West obviously didn't find his jokes funny, tweeting shortly after, "JIMMY KIMMEL IS OUT OF LINE TO TRY AND SPOOF IN ANY WAY THE FIRST PIECE OF HONEST MEDIA IN YEARS."

More personal insults included a dig that Kimmel's ex, Sarah Silverman, was "a thousand time funnier" than him and also the infamous line concerning Kimmel's close friendship with Ben Affleck.

"SHOULD I DO A SPOOF ABOUT YOUR FACE OR YOU F**KING BEN AFFLECK…#NODISRESPECTTOBENAFFLECK #ALLDISRESPECTTOJIMMYKIMMEL!!!!" he wrote.

Kimmel hit back with a simple, "apparently @KanyeWest is VERY VERY ANGRY with me...."

West appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to squash the beef in October 2017, and his wife also appeared on Kimmel's popular "Mean Tweets" segment a month later to further poke fun at West's now-iconic rant.

"JIMMY KIMMEL PUT YOURSELF IN MY SHOES… OH NO THAT MEANS YOU WOULD HAVE GOTTEN TOO MUCH GOOD P***Y IN YOUR LIFE,” Kardashian read as the audience burst out laughing.

In February 2018, Kimmel revisited the famous feud in an interview with GQ.

"I live for moments like that," he said. "When I got in a Twitter battle with Kanye, I was so happy. My wife makes fun of me. She's like, 'You are so happy right now.' I'm absolutely beaming. I feel very confident in a situation like that."

In August 2018, West appeared on Kimmel's show again, and this time they respectfully debated on politics -- specifically West's support of President Donald Trump, whom Kimmel has been vocally critical of.

Nicki Minaj vs. Miley Cyrus:

"Miley, what's good?"

Minaj hit back at Cyrus on a very public stage in 2015, when the rapper called out Cyrus during the MTV Video Music Awards. Minaj took issue with Cyrus over Cyrus' New York Times interview, in which Cyrus accused Minaj of starting a "pop star war" when Minaj made her feelings known on Twitter that she was upset that her music video for "Anaconda" wasn't nominated for Video of the Year.

"If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year," Minaj wrote, adding, "If I was a different 'kind' of artist, 'Anaconda' would be nominated for best choreo and vid of the year as well."

Cyrus told the paper about Minaj's tweets, "If you want to make it about race, there's a way you could do that. But don't make it just about yourself ... Say: 'This is the reason why I think it’s important to be nominated. There's girls everywhere with this body type.'"

"You made it about you," she added. "Not to sound like a b**ch, but that’s like, 'Eh, I didn’t get my VMA.'"

Cut to the VMAs that year -- which Cyrus hosted -- when Minaj took the stage to accept the Best Hip-Hop Video. As a parting shot, Minaj said, "And now, back to this b**ch that had a lot to say about me the other day in the press. Miley, what's good?"

Cyrus appeared rattled, but nevertheless hit back, "Hey, we're all in this industry. We all do interviews and we all know how they manipulate s**t. Nicki, congratu-f**kin'-lations."

At that point, cameras cut back to Minaj who was seen mouthing, "Don't play with me, b**ch."

Minaj later explained why she was so upset with Cyrus in her own interview with The New York Times Magazine that October.

"The fact that you feel upset about me speaking on something that affects black women makes me feel like you have some big balls," she said. "You're in videos with black men, and you're bringing out black women on your stages, but you don't want to know how black women feel about something that's so important?"

"Come on, you can't want the good without the bad," she continued. "If you want to enjoy our culture and our lifestyle, bond with us, dance with us, have fun with us, twerk with us, rap with us, then you should also want to know what affects us, what is bothering us, what we feel is unfair to us. You shouldn't not want to know that."

By 2017, it appeared the ladies put their feud behind them, when Minaj was seen giving Cyrus a warm round of applause after Cyrus' performance of "Malibu" at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards. But fans started speculating the beef wasn't over when Cyrus came out with her song, "Cattitude," in May 2019, which has the lyric, "I love you, Nicki, but I listen to Cardi."

Cyrus later downplayed the gossip when asked about the lyric during her appearance on Capital Breakfast With Roman Kemp.

"Actually, one of my songs says, 'You want to know if we're really beefin'? There's no beef. I'm a vegan,'" she said. "I think that you're allowed to enjoy two artists that fill a similar lane... And I think what they do is so different from each other. That's why they both get a crown. They don't have to share. They don't have to break it in half. There's no reason to fight over it. They're both queens. And anytime you want to feel powerful and strong, that's my go-to, Cardi and Nicki."

Of course, Minaj didn't let Cyrus off the hook, dissing her on Queen Radio in June 2019.

"A Perdue chicken can never talk sh*t about queens," Minaj said of Cyrus. "But I do notice a lot of Perdue chickens recently have been trying to say the queen's name for clout. And that's always been happening."

"That’s what [Cyrus] did in the first place," she added referencing their original beef. "And then the white girl cried and made the black girl seem like she was a bad guy. In the first place, she disrespected me in a magazine article for no reason."

The Rock vs. Vin Diesel (and Tyrese Gibson):

Getty Images

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson isn't afraid to call out a few "candy a**es."

Johnson shockingly aired out the dirty laundry on the Fast 8 set in 2016 when he called out some of his male co-stars, which fans speculated had to include Diesel.

"This is my final week of shooting #FastAndFurious8," Johnson wrote on Instagram. "There’s no other franchise that gets my blood boiling more than this one. Some [of my male counterparts] conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t. The ones that don’t are too chicken s**t to do anything about it anyway. Candy a**es. When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I’m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling -- you’re right.”

A source later told ET that Johnson's beef was in fact with Diesel.

"There were several times Vin was late to set and it really started pissing Dwayne and other cast and crew off," the source said. "At the end of production, Dwayne was really over Vin's bulls**t. As far as I know, they haven't spoken since they left set."

Not surprisingly, the comments created plenty of drama, but Johnson later told The New York Times that he had no regrets about calling his co-stars out so publicly.

"I was very clear with what I said. I've been in the game a long time," Johnson explained. "Would Universal have preferred that didn't happen? Sure, we talked about it. The irony is after that and as they do their tracking and all their analysis, the interest shot through the roof to a whole other level."

At the Fast 8 premiere in April 2017, both Johnson and Diesel told ET the feud was behind them.

"Just like, in life, you have different philosophies and people have different fundamental philosophies on how you do things," Johnson said. "And again, the most important thing is just the movie. So I'm happy that we're here in New York City, I'm happy the fans love it."

Meanwhile, Diesel said he and Johnson are still close.

"In my house, he's 'Uncle Dwayne,' and I'm proud of that," he shared. "We still love each other, that's my boy. When I was making that difficult decision, should there be an 8 or not, I called [Johnson] and he said, 'Brother, I will be there shoulder to shoulder with you to make sure it's the best movie in history.' And he delivered."

But it appeared there was still a bit of bad blood with regard to Johnson's Fast & Furious spinoff, Hobbs & Shaw, which also stars Jason Statham. In August 2019, after the box office numbers for the opening weekend of the film came in, Gibson took to Instagram in a now-deleted post to shade the film's ticket sales. While the Fast & Furious spinoff starring Johnson and Statham was No. 1 on its opening weekend -- taking in $60.8 million domestically and $120 million internationally -- it was the action franchise's lowest opening since 2006's The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift.

"I have to show my respects for one thing … He tried," Gibson wrote, calling the box office numbers for Hobbs & Shaw "NOT a win." "Folks called me a hater … And attacked me for speaking out … Breaking up the family clearly doesn't have the value that one would assume it does … You know what maybe just maybe … The Rock and the crew will come dance with us again for #Fast10. We can all hug it out and get back to giving the true fans who have supported this franchise for 20 years WHAT they want … No hating I'm just pointing out the facts."

It wasn't the first time Gibson had taken public shots at Johnson, and during Johnson's appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in June 2018, he said he had no reason to ever speak to his co-star.

“That whole thing with Tyrese, it was pretty disappointing because I’d been friends with Tyrese for a very long time,” Johnson said. “I always feel like a beef requires two people to actually jump in it. It was really one-sided, and he had voiced his opinion a lot on social media and apparently he was going through some stuff too in his personal life, but no, we haven’t talked and I don’t see where we would."

Johnson added, "To me, there's no need to have a conversation."

Ja Rule vs. 50 Cent

Getty Images

Ja Rule and 50 Cent's feud is pettiness personified.

The rappers' 20-year feud is perhaps the celebrity feud by which all celebrity feuds should be measured with for the simple fact that it just won't die.

The feud between the rappers can be traced all the way back to 1999, when 50 Cent released a single called "Power of the Dollar," which dissed Ja Rule and his label, Murder Inc. According to 50 Cent's biography, From Pieces to Weight, the origin of their beef is when a friend of his robbed Ja Rule.

"My man robbed him for a chain, and then this guy named Brown came and got the chain back for Ja," he wrote. "Later, Ja saw me in a club with the kid who robbed him. I went over to say, 'What's up' to Ja, and he acted like he had a problem with me. But I'm not the one who robbed him."

However, Ja Rule has denied this and claims the beef stems from 50 Cent getting snubbed by the Murder Inc. crew during a shoot for his single, "Murda 4 Life."

The two later got into a physical altercation at an Atlanta nightclub, and the feud only kept going from there. 50 Cent has said his breakout single, "Wanksta" -- which is about a fake gangster -- is inspired by Ja Rule, and the two have hit back at one another through their songs on multiple occasions.

But the feud reached a whole new level of petty when 50 Cent said he purchased 200 front-row tickets for Ja Rule's show in Texas in November 2018, just so they could be empty.

"What a show, I mean just f**king great. Do it again my kid went to the restroom. LOL," he wrote on Instagram alongside a Photoshopped picture of him sitting an an empty venue.

Ja Rule responded with a transphobic joke, and for his part, 50 Cent was as shady as ever when asked about the stunt during his appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in August.

"I just happened to see [the tickets] on [the internet], it was like, 'They was so cheap I might as well just buy them,'" he said with a laugh.

Ja Rule made his own appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in October, and couldn't bring himself to say even three nice things abut 50 Cent when prompted to.

"He's a bad father. He has a square, box [head], and he looks like his breath stinks," he said, though he also claimed he was "removing himself from the circus."

"When you entertain clowns you become a part of the circus," he said.

Kim Kardashian vs. Chloe Moretz:

Gett Images

This decade has taught us that Kardashian is a true savage when it comes to clapbacks on social media.

One of her most memorable ones over the last 10 years was when she responded to Moretz's criticism of her much talked-about nude photo that she posted on Instagram in March 2016.

“@KimKardashian I truly hope you realize how important setting goals for young women, teaching them we have so much more to offer than just our bodies," Moretz commented on Instagram.

Kardashian later viciously clapped back, writing: "Let's all welcome @ChloeGMoretz to twitter, since no one knows who she is. Your Nylon cover is cute boo."

Ouch.

Moretz defended her comments after receiving backlash, later tweeting, "There's a huge difference in respecting the platform that you're given as a celebrity and 'slut shaming' -- something I never have done and would never do."

In February 2018, Kardahian revealed she sent a handful of her Kimoji Heart Fragrances to her "haters," which included Moretz. Moretz was later asked about it during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in July 2018, and wasn't impressed.

"I didn't even get it, my publicist just took it," Moretz said. "I didn't even open it. I didn't have it. No, I never saw it. I literally got a video of it from my publicist and they were like, 'They sent this, so we just kept it.' So, thanks?"

Kim Cattrall vs. Sarah Jessica Parker:

Sex and the City fans definitely found out this decade that the actresses' real-life relationships didn't exactly mirror their close bonds on the show.

Although Cattrall had made it known that she wasn't friendly with her SATC co-star, Parker, after the beloved HBO series ended in 2004, she showed the depth of their bad blood with a shocking Instagram post in February 2018.

After Cattrall's brother, Chris Cattrall, died, Parker sent "love and condolences" to Cattrall over Instagram, but Cattrall was having none of it.

"I don't need your love or support at this tragic time @sarahjessicaparker," Cattrall wrote in her own Instagram post.

"My Mom asked me today 'When will that @sarahjessicaparker, that hypocrite, leave you alone?'" she continued in the caption. "Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now. Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven’t already) You are not my family. You are not my friend. So I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your ‘nice girl’ persona."

Just two days earlier, Parker explained to ET why she reached out to Cattrall despite Cattrall saying in a candid interview with Piers Morgan that she was never friends with any of her SATC castmates.

"If somebody in your life, whether you're in touch with them or not, [is] suffering for any reason, it's involuntary that you want to convey condolences or sadness or just let someone know you're thinking about them," Parker said.

In April 2018, Parker said she wanted to "redefine" her feud with Cattrall, and noted that it's been totally one-sided.

"I'd just like to remind everybody that there is no catfight," she told Vulture. "I have never uttered an unkind, unsupportive, unfriendly word, so I would love to redefine it... I've always held Kim's work in high regard and always appreciative of her contributions. If she chooses not to do the third [Sex and the City] movie, there's not a lot I can do to change her mind and we must respect it. That's the only thing I’ve ever said about it, you know?"

"But, no, there is no catfight, there never has been a catfight," she continued. "I've never fought with someone publicly in my life, nor would I. And I spent time with all of the women on the set. People need to recall that it wasn’t just two women on the set fighting, because that just never happened. We are enormously proud of what we got to do… We spent 10, 12 years of our life doing something that I really loved and I feel privileged to be part of and I don't want this to eclipse it or change its experience for that audience that was so good to us for so long."

Meghan McCain vs. Joy Behar:

Taylor Hill/WireImage/Jason LaVeris/FilmMagic

"Don’t feel bad for me, b***h" is still one of the best things we've ever heard on-air.

Although McCain and Behar have told ET that they are actually very fond of one another off-camera, tensions do often run high on the set of The View due to their differing political opinions. In June 2019, McCain made headlines with a vicious on-air retort to Behar, when the two argued about President Donald Trump's supporters at his 2020 campaign kickoff rally.

"Don't belittle the crowd," McCain told Behar. "Don't belittle the enthusiasm. Democrats have a lot to come. A lot of people are enthusiastic, and one of my producers was saying, 'Why do people love him so much?' It's not just they love Trump so much. It's they hate the same things Trump hates. That's what's going on."

Behar fired back: "Who? Black people, you mean? Immigrants? Who do they hate?"

McCain was clearly offended by the comment, replying, "You know what, Joy, really, I come here every day open-minded trying to explain it and it's not a fun job for me. I know you're angry. I know that you're angry that Trump is president."

At this point, fellow co-host Whoopi Goldberg stepped in, insisting that everyone needed to calm down. But McCain refused to end the discussion, proclaiming herself the show's "sacrificial Republican," to which Behar offered a sarcastic, "Awww."

"Don't feel bad for me, b***h," McCain clapped back. "I'm paid to do this."

But in an interview with ET in November 2019, McCain and Behar insisted that they were friends in real life.

"It really hurts my feelings!" McCain said of the reports that they don't get along. "It genuinely hurts my feelings because our dressing rooms are next door to each other and you and I have the same emotional reaction to things -- sometimes in different ways -- but we're both upset equally, the equal amount of the same things. And I wish people would give us a break, for real."

Behar added, "What we're saying, we really mean it! It's not an act, we don't sugarcoat it, we go right in it. And I think that's what we have in common. And I think that there's mutual respect for that."

Behar noted that she and McCain have actually softened each other's stances on certain issues.

"And we're both becoming a little bit more, um, not moderate, but we've sort of become... Like, we're not so adamant about our positions," she said. "Like today, I was talking about how, you know, I think a moderate needs to win the election to beat [President Donald] Trump. Originally, I would say I wanted Elizabeth Warren because she was new stuff and she was exciting. But I'm not sure that she could pull it off. So, now I'm in reality again and I think you have changed your positions a little bit, moderated them, modified."

Julianna Margulies vs. Archie Panjabi:

Who can forget Margulies and Panjabi's beyond awkward final scene "together" on The Good Wife?

The actresses' feud is still talked about today, thanks to the drastic effect it had on their hit CBS show. On the May 2015 finale, fans were shocked when it appeared that the scene between Margulies and Panjabi, which some described as "stilted" and "awkwardly edited," was actually shot separately. TVLine later reported that the speculation was true, and that the two actresses in fact did not film the scene together.

By this point, feud rumors between the two women were persistent after Buzzfeed noted in 2014 that the two actresses hadn’t been featured in a scene together for at least 30 episodes. The awkward final scene only fueled the feud rumors, and in October, Panjabi called out Margulies on Twitter when Margulies said there was no drama between them and that Panjabi was working on another show during the time they were supposed to shoot the scene.

ET spoke with Panjabi in May 2015 and she addressed the controversial scene: "I have to be diplomatic and say that's a question you have to ask the producers," she said.

In August 2016, Panjabi was ready to put all the drama behind her.

"Look, I loved playing the role of Kalinda," Panjabi told reporters during the summer Television Critics Association press tour. "I had such a great time on it. It was something that was really special to me. I'm so thrilled to be on another show. In terms of anything that happened on The Good Wife, I think it's only respectful to leave it on The Good Wife."

Given the considerably smaller dating pool, dating in Hollywood can get very tricky.

A famous example of this is when Bieber and Bloom allegedly came to blows in Ibiza in July 2014, all reportedly over Bloom's ex-wife, Miranda Kerr.

The Daily Mail was first to report that Bloom allegedly "took a swing" at Bieber while both were at Cipriani restaurant.

"Justin was being cordial, and everything was fine. But then Orlando was annoyed when he saw it was Justin and instigated by taking a swing at Justin," a source told the British publication. "Justin ducked, and Orlando's punch missed. People intervened, some minor pushing, then they were separated. Justin stayed for a while after."

Some media outlets speculated that the alleged fight could have erupted over rumors that Bieber went on a date with Kerr in 2012 while she and Bloom were still married -- but that has never been confirmed. Bieber fueled the fire when not long after the alleged altercation, he posted a photo of  Kerr on Instagram, simply captioning the pic with a crown. He deleted the photo minutes later. Bieber continued to show his pettiness when he then posted a picture of Bloom crying on Instagram.

Interestingly enough, Bloom and Bieber's ex, Selena Gomez, were rumored to be getting cozy at a Vegas nightclub in May 2016. But an eyewitness told ET at the time, "There was leg touching, hugging, talking closely, but no one saw kissing. They definitely did not leave together."

Still, one can only imagine Bieber's reaction.

These days, there should be no reason for any beef between the two. Bieber is happily married to his wife, Hailey, and Bloom is engaged to Perry.

Jane Fonda vs. Megyn Kelly:

Nothing is more awkward than a fight occurring on live television.

Fonda and Kelly had a cringeworthy exchange on her now canceled show, Megyn Kelly Today, in September 2017, when Kelly asked Fonda about her plastic surgery during their interview.

"You've been an example to everyone on how to age beautifully and with strength and unapologetically," Kelly said, praising Fonda. "You admit you've had work done, which I think is to your credit, I think you look amazing. Why did you say -- I read that you said you felt you're not proud to admit that you've had work done. Why not?"

Fonda icily replied, "We really want to talk about that now?"

"Well, one of the things people think about when they look at you is how amazing you look," Kelly continued.

Fonda then offered a quick response, "Well, thanks. Good attitude, good posture, I take care of myself."

Changing the subject, the actress added, "But let me tell you why I love this movie that we did, Our Souls at Night, rather than plastic surgery."

Fonda later shaded Kelly during a Q&A with Variety when asked about the uncomfortable moment.

"It wasn't like I was upset," she said. "I was stunned. It was so inappropriate. It showed that she’s not that good an interviewer."

"But if she comes around and learns her stuff, sure," she added when asked if she would ever return to Kelly's show.

At that point, the gloves were off.

On Megyn Kelly Today, Kelly defended her line of questioning and noted that she hasn't been the only one to ask Fonda about plastic surgery. Kelly went on to tell viewers that she's "not in the market for a lesson from Jane Fonda on what is and is not appropriate," because her "name is synonymous with outrage."

Kelly then brought up Fonda's controversial past.

"Look at her treatment of our military during the Vietnam War," she said. "Many of our veterans still call her 'Hanoi Jane' thanks to her radio broadcasts which attempted to shame American troops. She posed on an anti-aircraft gun used to shoot down our pilots. She called our POWs 'hypocrites and liars' and referred to their torture as understandable. She had to apologize years later for that gun picture, but not for the rest of it."

Kelly concluded, "By the way, she still says she's not proud of America. So, the moral indignation is a little much. She put her plastic surgery out there. She said she wanted to discuss the plight of older women in America, and honestly, she has no business lecturing anyone on what qualifies as offensive."

In November 2018, Fonda spoke with ET and took a softer tone with Kelly after Kelly's show got canceled following the fallout she received when she defended the use of blackface in Halloween costumes.

"I feel badly, because, you know, I wanted her to make it, I did," Fonda said, adding that she still believed that Kelly's controversy could be a learning opportunity for her. "That's always how everyone learns, through making mistakes. It's through failure that we grow and learn. I know that has been true for me, and I think it is for everybody."

Rihanna vs. Ciara:

Rihanna and Ciara are both pretty fierce ... and their public Twitter feud in 2011 had both of them throwing barbs.

It all started when Ciara mentioned Rihanna during her appearance on Fashion Police that year, and told the late Joan Rivers that RiRi was less than welcoming.

"I ran into [Rihanna] recently at a party. She wasn't the nicest," Ciara told Rivers. "It's crazy, because I've always loved and respected what she's done in fashion. It wasn't the most pleasant run-in."

Rihanna clearly took offense, and clapped back hard.

"My bad, Ci, did I forget to tip you. #howrudeofme," Rihanna tweeted to the shock of her followers.

Ciara didn't back down and escalated things when she retorted, "Trust me, Rihanna, you don't want to see me on or off the stage."

Rihanna then took a personal dig at Ciara's career.

"U gangsta huh? Haaa," she replied. "Good luck with booking that stage you speak of."

Rihanna later felt some remorse, tweeting, "Ciara baby, I love u girl! U hurt my feelings real bad on TV! I'm heartbroken! That's y I retaliated this way! So sorry! #letsmakeup."

Ciara accepted, replying, "Rhi u know its always been love since day 1! Doing shows/everything. you threw me off in that party! Apology accepted. Let's chat in person."

By October 2018, Rihanna showed the beef was fully over, singing Ciara's "Goodies" while doing karaoke.
