'Summer House: Martha's Vineyard's Summer Shares Surprising Review of Secret Alex Hookup (Exclusive)

Summer Marie Thomas and Alex Tyree address their pre-season 2 hookup on 'Summer House: Martha's Vineyard
Bravo

Summer Marie Thomas expands on her eye-popping comment from the season 2 premiere in ET's first look at the Bravo hit's next episode.

Secrets don't stay secrets long on Summer House: Martha's Vineyard... especially when they're just blurted out, out of nowhere.

It was the quote of the premiere: Summer Marie Thomas shaming roomie Alex Tyree for not inviting her, aka "the person you've been inside of," out with him before their vacation started. Summer dropped that hookup reveal bomb in the middle of the first all-cast dinner of the season, sending shockwaves through the group... the aftermath of which is unpacked in ET's exclusive first look at episode 2.

It's a new day and the vacationers have split into two groups: Summer, Preston Mitchum and Jordan Emanuel hit up a brunch spot together, while the rest of the squad heads to the gym. Preston cuts right to the chase, asking Summer, "How was Alex... in bed?"

"Oh..." Summer groans.

"Oh. It wasn't good?" he replies, eliciting a laugh out of Jordan. "Oh shoot."

"Alex is fun," Summer offers. "He's a good cuddler."

"That doesn't surprise me at all," Jordan mumbles as she eats and listens into the convo.

"He's a great kisser," Summer continues, before the sneak peek flashes back to a season 1 interview in which Summer confessed to being the type of person who likes to "make love." At the time, she suspected Alex might be a "great love maker." Cut to a new confessional, and Summer shares that her hookup with Alex "wasn't as passionate" as she would've liked.

"It would just... Alex is a great kisser," she ekes out. "It's not quickies, but it's just not there... yet."

Watch it all play out here:

As for Alex, he refuses to bang and tell in his own confessional; but Summer offers an update on where they stand after the fact: "He's not on the roster," she tells Preston and Jordan, sparking more laugher.

Meanwhile, just out of Alex's earshot at the gym, the remaining ladies of the house -- Jasmine Ellis Cooper, Bria Fleming, Shanice Henderson and season 2 newbie Noelle Hughley -- discuss the pre-summer shag. Noelle, Summer's close friend, attempts to rewrite history, claiming Summer and Alex never hooked up because "it was, like, a 'you're not showing me who you really are, so you can't try to f**k me' type of thing." That confuses the group, though, with Bria questioning how Noelle missed Summer's jaw-dropping comment at the first dinner.

"Maybe she was so busy f**king up those crab legs, she didn't hear s**t?" Shanice hypothesizes in a confessional.

"I don't now what Noelle thought, 'He was inside of me,' meant," Jasmine quips in a confessional of her own. "It definitely doesn't mean he was inside your W-2 filing your taxes, though."

"Before me and Summer came on vacation, I've always told her, you know, 'Alex is my type? What is the history behind y'all?'" Summer recalls in her interview. "And she said, 'It's cool, nothing to worry about. They just hung out.' Hanging out and having sex is two different things! You're supposed to be my girl and you can't even keep it real with me?"

Fans will have to tune in and see what happens for Noelle, Summer and Alex from here, but judging by what Jordan teased ET with ahead of the season 2 premiere, viewers are in for a bumpy ride.

"I mean, it's hard to forget," Jordan noted of Summer's quote. "We had just sat down for our first meal together, collectively, since the previous summer. So, it was quite the introduction to the trip, one that I wasn't expecting, and I was just stunned. I'm really glad they didn't show my face [in the trailer], to be honest, because the way I was just stuck? Yeah."

"That was an accurate depiction of what is in store for the rest of the season, which is just shocking one-liners and interesting arguments, and then a lot of makeups and, yeah, a roller coaster," she added

Summer House: Martha's Vineyard airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo, following The Real Housewives of Potomac. Episodes stream next day on Peacock.
