Barack and Michelle Obama are continuing to enjoy their lives outside of the White House!

The former president and first lady were spotted out and about in New York City on Friday, waving to photographers as they left Upland restaurant after having dinner with U2's lead vocalist, Bono.

Barack wore a sleek black suit for the outing, rocking an unbuttoned white dress shirt and shiny shoes. But his best accessory of all? That genuine smile!

His wife looked equally cheery, clad in high-waisted black slacks, a chic blouse and blue coat. She completed the look with pretty statement earrings and black pointed toe heels.

Bono also opted for black, sporting a scarf and peacoat with his signature purple-tinted, round-framed sunnies.

Earlier this week, Michelle spent time in Washington, D.C., surprising a crowd of female students at Cardozo Education Campus on International Women's Day.
