The '1989' singer responded to rumors that she was looking to buy a 16th century Scottish castle.

It turns out that Taylor Swift doesn't need a castle after all.

While it would be the perfect fit for Taylor's huge group of superstar friends, it turns out the "Blank Space" singer won't be putting a down payment on any Scottish strongholds any time soon.

Rumors began to circle earlier this month that Taylor – who is dating Scottish DJ Calvin Harris -- was looking to purchase a 16th century castle known as Tower Of Lethendy. But the 25-year-old pop princess took to Twitter on Tuesday to squash any such rumors.

Taylor quoted lyrics from her own song "New Romantics," writing, "'Cause baby I could build a castle out of all the bricks they threw at me' -a line from New Romantics. But I'm not actually buying a castle."

The eight-bedroom, seven-bathroom estate, valued at around $7.1 million, is situated on 40 acres of land that also contain a private golf course. The expansive property is also only an hour's drive from Edinburgh, where Harris' family lives.
