'Parkland' Cast on JFK's Fateful Day

An all-star cast recreates the events that transpired the day JFK was assassinated in the new film Parkland, and ET is with the film's writer-director, Peter Landesman, and select cast members to break down that fateful day.

"It was one of the two most seminal moments of modern American culture, this and 9/11; it changed the country, it changed the world," says Landesman. "[Parkland] is about people. It's about heroism. It's about their hearts. It's not about spinning theories and connecting dots and making constellations in the sky."

Paul Giamatti, Zac Efron, Marcia Gay Harden, Billy Bob Thornton, Tom Welling, James Badge Dale and Jacki Weaver are among the cast of the new drama that focuses on the ordinary heroes that responded in the critical moments following the president's assassination on November 22, 1963.

Co-produced by Tom Hanks, Parkland arrives in theaters October 4.
