The couple had a fashionable date night at Variety's Power of Women event at Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills on Thursday night.
Perry was radiant in a lavender look. The Schiaparelli-designed gown featured billowing, off-the-shoulder dramatic sleeves. The "Roar" singer kept the rest of her look simple, accessorizing only with dangling earrings and rings. Bloom, on his end, looked dapper in a dark suit with a white button-up shirt and black boots.
As the two posed for photos, cameras caught the two sharing a sweet moment when they looked into each other's eyes.
Of the look, Perry jokingly told ET's Lauren Zima, "It's also one of those dresses where you can let it all hang out from here down."
As for her arm candy, Perry gushed, "I think behind every great woman is a great man. He is an ally, he is an ally and I love him and he handles my crazy really well."
Perry was one of the evening honorees, and reflected on the importance of the distinction.
"It's nice to be honored in that way," she shared.
"I got to start a foundation with my sister in 2018 and to shine a light on that tonight is, I'm very honored about," she added of the Firework Foundation, which works to empower children from underserved communities by igniting their inner light through the arts. "I think women lifting up women is so necessary and so important because if we don't who will?"
During her speech, Perry acknowledged Bloom and their 1-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove.
"To my beloved partner and constant iron sharpener, whether I like it or not, Orlando, a man that is a friend and an ally to all around the world, thank you for handling the insanity of my life with such loving grace," she shared as Bloom proudly watched her from the audience. "And biggest thank you of all for being an incredible father, an example to our greatest gift ever, our daughter Daisy Dove."
She also asked Bloom to help her prior to singing "What Makes a Woman," saying, “Hello, Orlando, can you undue my corset, I can’t sing.” When the British actor came on the stage to assist, she directed, “Pull it all the way down, I have a girdle in here…all the way down…OK…now I can breathe….my hero!”
Aside from Perry, Rita Moreno, Channing Dungey, Amanda Gorman and Lorde were also celebrated at the event, presented by Lifetime and sponsored by Cadillac. The twice annual Power of Women issue honors women in the entertainment industry who are using their voices to benefit worthy causes.
Gayle King, Angelia Jolie and daughter Zahara, Alyssa Milano, Ava DuVernay and many incredible women were also in attendance.
"Katy and Orlando are doing great right now. They're doing an amazing job at balancing parenthood with work commitments and their relationship as a couple is going strong," the source said. "They really love parenting together and Daisy is such a joy. They would love to expand their family."
