John Mulaney Shares Touching Message to Olivia Munn After Announcing Her Breast Cancer Diagnosis

The actress revealed on Wednesday that she was diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2023.

John Mulaney is expressing his support for Olivia Munn. Shortly after the 43-year-old actress revealed on Instagram that she's been diagnosed with breast cancer, her comedian boyfriend, 41, took to the comments section to share a touching message.

"Thank you for fighting so hard to be here for us," Mulaney wrote to Munn of their 2-year-old son, Malcom. "Malc and I adore you."

Mulaney added a red heart emoji to his comment.

In Munn's post, she revealed that, two months after receiving an all-clear from a genetic test and getting a clean bill of health from a mammogram, she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

The diagnosis came after Munn's doctor decided to calculate her Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Score. After that came back at 37 percent, Munn got an MRI, then an ultrasound, then a biopsy. After all that, Munn was found to have Luminal B cancer, which she described as "aggressive" and "fast moving," in both breasts.

Since then, Munn has undergone four surgeries, including a double mastectomy.

In her post, Munn expressed her gratitude for Mulaney, who she's been linked to since 2021.

"I'm so thankful to John for the nights he spent researching what every operation and medication meant and what side effects and recovery I could expect," she wrote. "For being there before I went into each surgery and being there when I woke up, always placing framed photos of our little boy Malcom so it would be the first thing I saw when I opened my eyes."

By sharing her diagnosis, Munn wrote that she hopes "it will help others find comfort, inspiration and support on their own journey."

"I'm lucky," she wrote. "We caught it with enough time that I had options. I want the same for any woman who might have to face this one day."
