A Visual Look Back at Every Season of 'American Horror Story'

Season 1 beings with Murder House, this is where the Harmon family moves in. Strange occurrences start happening and secrets start being revealed about the house. The neighbor and strangers starts showing up to the house unannounced. Weird and unexplainable events transpire and make the Harmon family act out of character and are forced to face the truth.

Asylum is season 2, starting the scene in 1964 at a mental health facility called Briarcliff Manor. The facility is ran by religious leaders, a priest, nun's and a rouge scientist that conducts experiments on patients. While heinous acts are happening inside the Manor, a serial killer is on the loose in the area.  

Coven takes place in New Orleans in 2013. A school for witches is set in the south where new witches can learn how to harness their powers. While being set in the south, Voodoo is highly practiced which competes with witchcraft, then this creates a rival between the two groups.

Freak Show is set in Florida in 1952. This season follows a group of freaks trying to survive while their trade is dying out. Scary incidents begin in the town they settle.

Hotel has Lady Gaga staring as the villain but also the owner of the hotel. This season is based on Ryan Murphy's interpretation of the very real Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles. Their is a lure about this hotel because people who check into this hotel do not always check out.

Roanoke takes places in a rural house in North Carolina. A couple moved into the house and had horrible and frightening experiences and have a production team reenact the couples events in the actual house. While production films in the house, real life hauntings are happening to the actors.

Cult takes place in Michigan in 2017 in after the 2016 president elections. The residents are terrorized by Donald Trump's cult and the aftermath of him winning the election. 

Apocalypse is season 8 and takes place in a bunker because the end of the world is happening. Only a few lucky people are chosen to go into the bunker and spare their life. They people chosen find out that they share space with a frightening entity. The witches from the Coven season make a special appearance as well.

1984 takes place at a summer camp close to Los Angeles. The summer camp closed due to a massacre 14 years ago. A rich person decides to open up the summer camp again in 1984 and try to ignore the faux pas of opening this place back up to the public. Things start to go wrong and it seems like the nightmare is happening all over again. 

Double Feature says it all in the name. The first feature, Red Tide takes place in Provincetown, Massachusetts where a family stay for the off season to help the father focus on his writing. The town seems to have weird things happening at night and no one is talking about it, it just seems to get swept under the rug. 



Death Valley is the second part of the feature and is set up with students who go out on a camping trip only to encounter what seems to be aliens. 

NYC is set in the 1980's in New York City. A serial killer only targeting gay men is on the loose while there is a new virus entering the world. The cops seem to be doing sloppy work so a journalist takes it into his hands to get the word out there. 

Delicate premieres on Sept. 20, 2023. This series is about an actress who wants to make it big and have a family. The actress seems to be willing to go to any lengths to make her dreams come true.
