Flashback! Stars At Their First Big Oscars!

It's Oscars weekend and what better way to celebrate then a walk down memory lane, or should we say red carpet? As Michael Fassbender, Barkhad Abdi, Lupita Nyong'o and Sally Hawkins are among those earning their first nomination this year, we look back to when some of Hollywood's biggest stars attended their first Oscars as nominees.

After being nominated for the first time, Sandra Bullock won for her role in The Blind Side.  Her first Oscars was the 82nd Annual Academy Awards on March 7, 2010.

Jennifer Lawrence was nominated for her role in Winter's Bone and attended the 83rd Annual Academy Awards on February 27, 2011.

Angelina Jolie won the first Oscar she was ever nominated for in 2000. It was for her role in Girl, Interrupted. 

Tilda Swinton won for her role in Michael Clayton at the 2008 Oscars. 

In 2002, Halle Berry won an Oscar for her role in Monster's Ball.

Jennifer Hudson won the first Oscar she was nominated for at the 2007 Academy Awards. It was for her musical role in Dream Girls. 

Mark Wahlberg was first recognized at the 2007 Oscars for his role in The Departed.

Gwyneth Paltrow won at the 1999 Academy Awards after her first nomination for Shakespeare In Love. 

Carey Mulligan showed up at the 2010 Academy Awards after being nominated for her role in An Education. 

Ryan Gosling's role in Half Nelson earned him a nomination and a spot on the 2007 Oscar red carpet. 

Michelle Williams attended the 2006 Academy Awards after earning her first nomination for acting in Brokeback Mountain.

George Clooney was nominated for Best Writing, Original Screenplay for Good Night, and Good Luck. He showed up at the 2006 Oscars. 

Johnny Depp went to the Oscars in 2004 after earning a nomination for his part in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.

On March 5, 2006, Amy Adams attended the 78th Annual Academy Awards after being nominated for her role in Junebug.

Christian Bale won an Oscar the first time he was nominated for his role in The Fighter. The actor showed up to collect his award at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards February 27, 2011.

Jonah Hill was nominated for Moneyball and showed up to 84th Annual Academy Awards on February 26, 2012.
