If making it in Hollywood wasn't hard enough already, owning and operating a restaurant is another venture celebrities choose to pursue. Take a look at some of these successful stars who've made a name for themselves in the competitive restaurant business.

Passionate about the different foods she learned to cook while growing up, Eva Longoria's Beso in Hollywood has been serving up classic steakhouse and Latin dishes with a romantic flair since 2008.

Located in a historic building in downtown Austin, Texas, Sandra's Bess Bistro offers up classic French and Southern dishes.

Ryan Gosling's Tagine in Beverly Hills offers diners a romantic, candlelit experience with high-end Moroccan cuisine.

Robert De Niro is partners with Nobu Matsuhisa, executive chef and owner of worldwide Japanese restaurant franchise, Nobu (left).  De Niro is also the owner of  New York City's famed Tribeca Grill (right).

Grammy-winner Justin Timberlake brings southern flavors from his Memphis hometown to New York City with Southern Hospitality.

Already credited with starting the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, actor Robert Redford has also owned a sophisticated American restaurant there since 1995.

Since 2003, Jay-Z has had this New York City sports bar and lounge named after the only baseball players in history who hit 40 home runs and stole 40 bases in one season:  Barry Bonds, Alex Rodriguez, Jose Canseco, and Alfonso Soriano.

The name speaks for itself.  He and his brother, actor Donnie Wahlberg, started the burger joint outside of Boston in 2011 and are planning to open another one in Toronto, Canada in 2014.

Oscar-winner Susan Sarandon loves ping-pong, so opening spots in New York and L.A. where people can play while enjoying good food and drink was a no-brainer.

This charitable eatery in Red Bank, New Jersey is backed by the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation and has no prices on the menu.  Instead, diners can help make a difference by paying a minimum of 10 dollars per gourmet meal, anything more goes straight to charity.  Customers who can't afford to eat can volunteer at the restaurant in return for a free meal.

Actor Anthony Mackie opened NoBar in 2011 to create a cool Brooklyn, N.Y. hangout where people can watch a game and grab some drinks.  Although with no beer on tap, customers can enjoy specialty beers served by the bottle along with a large selection of house cocktails.

His trendy dive bar in New York City gives patrons a chance to grab a drink or a burger while watching local music talent perform live on stage.

This stylish restaurant by The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Lisa Vanderpump, serves up Mediterranean, Italian, and even Asian food.  Its Beverly Hills location makes it a good place to do some celebrity spotting.
