<a href="https://www.etonline.com/event/premios-juventud" target="_blank">Premios Juventud</a>&nbsp;is&nbsp;finally here! The annual awards ceremony was held at the Watsco Center in Miami on Thursday. Check out the complete list of winners below.

Alejandra Espinoza, Chiquis, and <a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/sebastian-yatra" target="_blank">Sebastián Yatra</a> hosted the three-hour show, which kicked off with a performance by Myke Towers and Yatra singing "Pareja del Año." <a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/pitbull" target="_blank">Pitbull</a>&nbsp;also took&nbsp;the stage to perform his new single, "I Feel Good."

The show took a few minutes to shed light on Cuba’s humanitarian crisis with two powerful musical performances by Joncien, Lena, Malena Burke, and Yailenys Pérez performing “Libertad,” and Gente de Zona and Yotuel will perform a special rendition of “Patria y Vida.”

This year, the awards show added 14 new categories, which include Best Regional Mexican Collaboration, Best Regional Mexican Fusion, Youth Artist Female / Youth Artist Male and Girl Power.&nbsp;<a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/karol-g" target="_blank">Karol G</a> and Camilo lead the <a href="https://www.etonline.com/2021-premios-juventud-nominations-karol-g-and-camilo-lead-the-list-167401" target="_blank">list of nominations</a> with 12 nods each. They are followed by <a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/j-balvin" target="_blank">J Balvin</a> and <a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/maluma" target="_blank">Maluma</a> with 11 nominations, followed by Daddy Yankee, Los Dos Carnages and Myke Towers with nine.

<a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/daddy-yankee" target="_blank">Daddy Yankee</a> was honored with the Agent of Change award for his efforts to combat world hunger and helping rebuild houses for families affected by the destructive path of Hurricane Maria.

The night also <a href="https://www.etonline.com/premios-juventud-2021-daddy-yankee-kali-uchis-and-natti-natasha-to-perform-168197" target="_blank">included performances</a> by Kali Uchis,&nbsp;Gloria Trevi, <a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/natti-natasha" target="_blank">Natti Natasha</a>, Tainy and Yandel, and Tommy Torres. Karol G performed “200 Copas” and Becky G and El Alfa took the stage to perform “Fulanito.” CNCO sang together for the first time since Joel Pimentel's departure from the group.

Premios Juventud 2021: The Complete Winners List 

<a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/daddy-yankee" target="_blank">Daddy Yankee</a>, the king of reggaeton, was awarded the Agent of Change Award at the <a href="https://www.etonline.com/premios-juventud-2021-the-complete-winners-list-169299" target="_blank">2021 Premios Juventud</a> awards on Thursday. During a special video presentation, Daddy Yankee accepted the award and shared a few words of inspiration

"Being an artist has allowed me to travel the world. And while traveling the world, you see there's a common denominator - people in need," Daddy Yankee shared.&nbsp;"I can tell you what it's like to have nothing. I said to myself when I have money, I will pay it forward. And, that's how Daddy's House came to be. We make sure children are fed every day. The important thing is to help others."

It's no surprise that Daddy Yankee, who received nine <a href="https://www.etonline.com/event/premios-juventud" target="_blank">Premios Juventud</a> nominations, received such recognition. He has been an instrumental figure in helping rebuild Puerto Rico and other areas affected by the destructive path of Hurricane Maria in 2017.

Another cause close to his heart is the fight against world hunger. In 2009, the iconic singer created Daddy's House, a center for underprivileged children in the Dominican Republic. He's also participated in various initiatives with Feeding America, Habitat for Humanity, Casa Protegida Julia de Burgos and the Red Cross.

"At Premios Juventud, we have celebrated Daddy Yankee for his enormous contributions to Latin Music as a global icon. This year, we are proud to honor his exemplary role as a humanitarian driving change in our community and the world," Ignacio Meyer, SVP of Music, Nonfiction, and Development at Univision, said in a statement. "His outstanding work helping the most vulnerable, whether it is with Daddy's House or supporting other initiatives, makes him an inspiration to our youth."

Daddy Yankee Receives Agent of Change Award at Premios Juventud 2021

Hosted by Jacqueline Bracamontes, the awards show honored the best in Latin music and featured performances by <a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/karol-g" target="_blank">Karol G</a>, <a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/ozuna" target="_blank">Ozuna</a>, <a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/anitta" target="_blank">Anitta</a>, <a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/pitbull" target="_blank">Pitbull</a>, Ricky Martin and <a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/carrie-underwood" target="_blank">Carrie Underwood</a>, who joined David Bisbal to perform their hit song, "Tears of Gold."

<a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/j-balvin" target="_blank">J Balvin</a> and Karol G --&nbsp;both up for Artist of the Year and Song of the Year --&nbsp;had the most nominations with nine each, followed by Bad Bunny with eight nominations and Ozuna with seven.&nbsp;

2021 Latin American Music Awards: The Complete Winners List 

Jose Luis 'El Puma'&nbsp;Rodriguez is a global treasure! The Venezuelan singer and actor received the Legend Award at the Latin American Music Awards on Thursday.&nbsp;

The 78-year-old artist, known as El Puma (The Cougar), received a standing ovation as he took the stage to receive his special award.

"I want to thank God, Christ and the Holy Spirit and my family," he said. "Thank you...to&nbsp;my fans, you helped me get here. God bless."

El Puma has endured the test of time with immense success thanks to his romantic ballads and swoon-worthy telenovelas. He began his musical and acting career in the early 1960s. Over the past six decades, he has recorded more than 60 albums and participated in over 34 soap operas, movies, and international series.&nbsp;

The Latin AMAs also gave special awards to Ozuna (Extraordinary Evolution Award) and Alejandro Fernandez (Icon Award).&nbsp;

It marked&nbsp;the first time the king of salsa performed&nbsp;with the king of reggaeton, and the historic moment included a slew of vibrant backup dancers and electrifying pyrotechnics.&nbsp;

Before taking the stage Anthony took a moment to <a href="https://www.etonline.com/premio-lo-nuestro-2021-the-best-performances-and-biggest-moments-of-the-night-160751" target="_blank">pay tribute to Johnny Pacheco</a>, a&nbsp;Dominican-American musician, composer, bandleader, and record producer, who popularized salsa in the United States. He died on Feb. 15 at the age of 85.&nbsp;

"Tonight we want to recognize and thank one of the pillars of salsa music," Anthony addressed viewers at home. "He was a musical genius that just recently left us, Johnny Pacheco. Without you there would be no salsa. Your music was the soundtrack of my life while I lived in New York. Thank you for your music. We know there's a big party in heaven."

"De vuelta pa’ la vuelta" was released in December and has become a fan favorite as it fuses classic salsa with reggaeton beats.&nbsp;

"It’s been a long time since we’ve wanted to work together. It was such an experience to see Yankee dive into my world," Anthony told ET in a statement. "He is a force to be reckoned that has set so many precedents in the Latin music scene. Now with this song, we have the opportunity to unite our voices, highlight our culture and honor our Latino roots."

On Tuesday, the Guinness World Records awarded Anthony with his third GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the most Premio Lo Nuestro awards won by a male artist with a total of 24 wins.&nbsp;

"I’m speechless! The first thing that comes to mind is my team. Especially during this time, you realize you do not get anywhere alone," Anthony wrote on social media. "I am feeling so many emotions. When I found out about this Guinness World Records record title, my heart skipped a beat. I just hope that everyone who has dedicated their life to making this happen feels as special as I do. The nominees for the <a href="https://www.etonline.com/awards/latin-grammys" target="_blank">2020 Latin GRAMMY Awards </a>were officially announced on Tuesday and <a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/j-balvin" target="_blank">J Balvin</a> is the most nominated artist with 13. Bad Bunny received nine nominations, followed by Ozuna with eight. Anuel AA, Josh Gudwin and Colin Leonard tie at seven. This puts reggaeton front and center at this year’s award show.&nbsp;

This year's Album of the Year category is composed of a diverse group of artists, including: Bad Bunny (YHLQMDLG), Camilo (Por Primera Vez), Kany García (Mesa Para Dos), J Balvin (Colores), J Balvin &amp; Bad Bunny (Oasis), Jesse &amp; Joy Aire (Versión Día), Natalia Lafourcade (Un Canto Por México, Vol. 1), Ricky Martin (Pausa), Fito Páez (La Conquista del Espacio), and Carlos Vives&nbsp;(Cumbiana).&nbsp;

Winners will be revealed on&nbsp;Nov. 19 during a live telecast on Univision at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The show will be hosted from Miami with uplifting virtual performances from multiple cities around the world.&nbsp;

2020 Latin GRAMMY Awards Nominations: See the Complete List

J Balvin, who is <a href="https://www.etonline.com/let-j-balvins-new-happy-puppy-warm-your-heart-143030" target="_blank">quarantining in Colombia</a>, released <a href="https://www.etonline.com/dua-lipa-j-balvin-and-bad-bunny-team-up-for-bilingual-track-un-dia-one-day-listen-150200" target="_blank">"Un Día (One Day)"</a> on Thursday. The star-studded collaboration features Dua Lipa, Bad Bunny and Tainy. The song is accompanied by a black-and-white music video, directed by Stillz and features Spanish actress Úrsula Corberó. &nbsp;

<a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/farruko" target="_blank">Farruko</a> also dropped a new single and music video, “La Tóxica.” The song was composed by the Puerto Rican singer, along with Sharo Towers, K4G and Ghetto. <a href="https://www.etonline.com/farruko-teams-up-with-hbo-latino-for-concert-special-in-puerto-rico-exclusive-128737" target="_blank">Farruko</a> has been keeping busy over the past couple of months, collaborating on a variety of projects with folks like Ricky Martin, Tito El Bambino, Reik and Camilo.&nbsp;

New Latinx Songs to Get You Through the Weekend 

<a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/walter-mercado" target="_blank">Walter Mercado </a>was a giver of hope. The Puerto Rican astrologer blessed the homes of many Latinx families for decades with enriching <a href="https://www.etonline.com/walter-mercado-celebrate-netflixs-mucho-mucho-amor-with-these-films-and-tv-shows-based-on-your" target="_blank">daily horoscopes</a> on the small screen. Following his death in 2019, little was known about Mercado's last years alive.&nbsp;Netflix's Mucho Mucho Amor: The Legend of Walter Mercado explores the highs and lows of his eccentric&nbsp;career and what led to his disappearance from public life.&nbsp;

ET spoke with Mercado’s niece, Ivonne Benet, and Cristina Costantini and Kareem Tabsch -- the directors of Mucho Mucho Amor, which premiered on July 8 -- &nbsp;to dive into why Mercado vanished from the airwaves in 2006 and never returned. <a href="https://www.etonline.com/walter-mercado-legendary-puerto-rican-astrologer-dead-at-87-135537" target="_blank">Mercado died</a> on Nov. 2, 2019. He was 87 years old.

His career began in the early ‘70s, and by the ‘90s, he was a prominent fixture in households across the globe.&nbsp;At the <a href="https://www.etonline.com/walter-mercados-legacy-withdrawal-from-public-eye-chronicled-in-trailer-for-netflix-doc-mucho-mucho" target="_blank">peak of his career</a>,&nbsp;he had over 120 million viewers watching his beloved Walter y Las Estrellas segment on Univision. Many would describe him as the superhero of our hearts. But, in the mid 2000s, everything changed. Mercado <a href="https://www.etonline.com/walter-mercado-laid-to-rest-in-puerto-rico-135937" target="_blank">disappeared from public life</a> and no longer graced television sets with his opulent capes, colorful backdrops, and jewelry. It’s as if he performed a vanishing act.

“His mission was always peace,” Benet told ET. “He truly lived and embodied that and made it part of his catchphrase -- Y que reciban de mi, mucha paz pero sobre todo, mucho, mucho amor.”

“Walter loved being in front of the camera. He loved his fans and he loved his profession,” she explained. “It was a very difficult time when he no longer <a href="https://www.etonline.com/best-latinx-movies-and-documentaries-to-stream-146107" target="_blank">appeared on television</a>. It was like his oxygen got cut off. He would have loved to have been on television until his death.”

Mercado’s <a href="https://www.etonline.com/the-best-latinx-tv-shows-available-to-stream-now-145697" target="_blank">last television</a> segment aired on Oct. 3, 2006 on Univision. The Spanish-language network sadly decided to pull him from the air when the famed astrologer became embroiled in a lawsuit with his former manager, Guillermo “Bill” Bakula.&nbsp;

Who is Bill Bakula?

Bakula came into Mercado’s life at a very critical moment. He helped Mercado in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s expand his reach by producing a new show solely focused on astrology. Their partnership led to a global astrology phenomenon.&nbsp;

In the documentary, Mercado credits Bakula for making him “the most well-known psychic of this world, the prophet of the new age. Bill opened many doors for me.”

Mercado rapidly took over U.S. airwaves by radio and television and expanded his footprint across Latin America and Brazil. Bakula also helped Mercado cross over to the general market with appearances on The Howard Stern Show, Live With Regis and Kathie Lee, and The Sally Jessy Raphael Show.&nbsp;

“Every talent needs somebody behind them,” Bakula explains&nbsp;in the doc. “I was the coach for one single purpose -- [to get out] Walter’s message to as many people as possible.”

“It’s very important to acknowledge that we would not know Walter and Walter would have not been as famous and successful as he was if it were not for Bill,” Tabsch said to ET. “There is no shadow of a doubt. Bill was the person who propelled him to superstardom. At the same time, when you see the way things played out, of course you get frustrated.”&nbsp;

What led to Bakula and Mercado’s discord?

In 1995, after years of working together, Bakula gave Mercado a contract which, according to the documentary, stated that Mercado would forfeit the right to his own name, his image, his likeness and all of his ventures, both past and future, to Bakula’s company, Bart Enterprises International.&nbsp;

Mercado said&nbsp;he asked his lawyer at the time to review the document. He trustingly signed the contract without ever reading it.&nbsp;

“Bill Bakula was my angel. In one moment in my life, he was sent by God to make me and my message of love be known,” Mercado&nbsp;expresses&nbsp;in the doc. “He was very smart. He was the master.”

The legal battle between Bakula and Mercado ensues.&nbsp;

In 2006, Mercado tried to cut business ties with Bakula by no longer providing his service. Bart Enterprises International in return ceased to pay Mercado's monthly compensation of $25,000 a month, which led to litigation in federal court in Florida.&nbsp;

The jury determined that Mercado had no right to terminate the agreement and that the trademark rights to his name were not reverted back to him and found that Bart owed Mercado no compensation since Mercado had not complied with his contractual obligation. This led to a six-year legal battle as Mercado tried to regain the rights to his name.&nbsp;

It’s during this time that the court barred Mercado from using his name until the trademark dispute was settled, which led to Univision canceling his segment on Primer Impacto.&nbsp;

This resulted in a severe financial impact on Mercado. The documentary explains that he was not receiving any funds and was unable to conduct any business during that time.&nbsp;

“I was shocked that he didn't have someone looking out for him. But, that is such a common story of artists, young artists, and of Latin American artists in particular,” Costantini said. “Walter was not a businessman. He was very bad at money. He was a very trusting person. It’s really a shame.”

“It comes down to difference of opinion,” Tabsch explained. “In Bill’s opinion, it was a very clear business transaction -- there were multiple agreements that said the same thing and they were all signed. As far he’s concerned, he did nothing wrong.”

“Bill doesn’t blame Walter. They both retained this great sense of appreciation, admiration and affection for one another. There is no doubt in my mind that Walter loved Bill and that Bill loves Walter. Neither one of them had a negative thing to say about one another,” he added. “Bill said his problem is ultimately with [Walter’s] family.”

Tabsch, who grew close to Mercado during the production of the documentary -- so much so that he was a pallbearer at Mercado’s funeral --&nbsp;said he couldn't help but “feel frustrated” at how things with Mercado and Bakula played out.

“It’s certainly disappointing,” he admitted. “At the end of the day, it really did cost Walter his livelihood and his prominence in the culture. I mean, he suddenly disappeared for years and he was never able to regain that huge audience he once had.”

Mercado regains the rights to his name but falls ill.&nbsp;

Ultimately, Mercado was given back&nbsp;all of his rights to his name, image, and his likeness. Two days after the victorious court ruling, though, he suffered&nbsp;a heart attack. The long battle had scarred him emotionally and physically.&nbsp;

“It was all so painful and heartbreaking,” Benet recalled. “Walter trusted everyone. He did what his lawyer advised him to do [in 1995]. And, it cost him his career. After Univision canceled his contract, other opportunities came up but it was all during the legal proceedings, so he couldn’t take them. You know how show business is, if you don’t take advantage of an opportunity, it will pass.”

“After the heart attack, it took time for him to recover,” she continued. “When he was ready and available to work, he found it difficult to return to television. There weren’t any opportunities for him or someone else was occupying that space. Walter never interfered with the success of someone else. He respected other astrologers who wanted to do the same thing he did for many years. He wasn’t going to take a job away from anyone.”

According to Tabsch, Mercado’s disappearance from the public eye was “not his own doing or his own choice, but&nbsp;a complicated set of circumstances that really kind of robbed him from us. Walter only ever wanted to be with his public. If you think it was a loss for us, imagine what a great loss it was for him.”

“He tried to make a comeback and failed. I think it was very hard for him during those years he was out of the spotlight,” Costantini added. “It’s incredible that at the end of his life, he was able to make this final journey.”

Mercado’s last message to fans.&nbsp;

The documentary, in part, can be interpreted as a master class. Mercado&nbsp;opened his heart and home to his fans, in one last attempt to bring them messages of hope and love.

“When I was a child, I was very shy and insecure. My mother was very over protective of me. I was a dreamer,” Mercado recalls. “Since the moment I was born, I knew I wasn’t like everybody else. To be different is a gift. To be ordinary is common.”

“Love is the reason to live,” he expresses, adding that in life you “have to be nice to people, you have to give the best of yourself in every moment of your life and you have to believe in yourself.”

Inside Walter Mercado's Disappearance From Public Life Prior to His Death (Exclusive)

<a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/dave-chappelle" target="_blank">Dave Chappelle</a> broke his silence on <a href="https://www.etonline.com/people/george-floyd" target="_blank">George Floyd</a>’s death and addressed <a href="https://www.etonline.com/event/black-lives-matter" target="_blank">racial discrimination</a> in a surprise Netflix special titled 8:46&nbsp;on Friday.&nbsp;

Floyd was a <a href="https://www.etonline.com/george-floyds-brother-philonise-asks-lawmakers-to-stop-the-pain-in-committee-hearing-147900" target="_blank">46-year-old black man</a> who died on May 25 after a police officer in Minneapolis, Minnesota, pressed his knee into Floyd's neck for eight minutes and 46 seconds.&nbsp;

“This is weird and less than ideal circumstances to do a show,” Chappelle said to the crowd.&nbsp;“I want to shout out to all the <a href="https://www.etonline.com/george-floyds-daughter-to-get-full-ride-scholarship-to-texas-southern-university-147883" target="_blank">young people </a>who have had the courage to go out and do this <a href="https://www.etonline.com/jennifer-lopez-yg-madonna-more-take-to-the-streets-to-protest-george-floyds-death-147439" target="_blank">amazing work protesting</a>. I'm very <a href="https://www.etonline.com/black-lives-matter-inspiring-stories-of-communities-coming-together-against-racism-147962" target="_blank">proud of you</a>. You kids are excellent drivers. I am comfortable in the back seat of the car, so <a href="https://www.etonline.com/meet-the-artists-behind-the-images-and-graphics-that-have-gone-viral-following-george-floyds-death" target="_blank">carry on</a> young ones.”&nbsp;

The special, which had a live audience <a href="https://www.etonline.com/where-to-buy-face-masks-online-right-now-good-american-everlane-shein-and-more-144540" target="_blank">wearing face masks</a> and seated six feet apart, was taped on June 6 in Ohio and marked Chappelle's return to the stage since his last performance 87 days prior.&nbsp;

“It’s hard to figure out what to say about George Floyd,” he continued as he paused to ask fans how they were feeling.&nbsp;

“This man kneeled on a man’s neck for eight minutes and 46 seconds. Can you&nbsp;imagine that? This kid thought he was going to die,” he said. “He knew he was going to die. He called for his mother. He called for his dead mother.”

“When I watched that tape, I understood this man knew he was<a href="https://www.etonline.com/george-floyds-death-a-homicide-by-mechanical-asphyxiation-independent-autopsy-finds-147485" target="_blank"> going to die</a>,” Chappelle continued, admitting that he initially avoided watching the tape for a week because he knew once he watched it, he wouldn't be able to unsee it.&nbsp;

“People watched it, people filmed it and for some reason that I still don't understand, all these f**king <a href="https://www.etonline.com/three-other-former-police-officers-involved-in-george-floyds-death-charged-147585" target="_blank">police had their hands</a> in their pockets,” he said. “Who are you talking to? What are you signifying? That you can kneel on a man's neck for eight minutes and 46 seconds and feel like you&nbsp;wouldn’t get the wrath of God?”&nbsp;

“That is what’s happening right now -- it’s not for a single cop, it’s for all of it. F**king all of it. I don't mean to get heavy but we got to say something.”

In the set, Chappelle also talks about<a href="https://www.etonline.com/minneapolis-agrees-to-ban-chokeholds-after-george-floyds-death-147695" target="_blank"> racial inequality</a> and the deaths of Eric Garner, Philando Castile and Trayvon Martin. He also addresses CNN anchor Don Lemon’s remarks about <a href="https://www.etonline.com/kevin-hart-ludacris-and-more-celebs-call-for-change-after-attending-george-floyds-memorial" target="_blank">black celebrities</a> using their platform to speak up following violent protests around the country.&nbsp;

“Do you want to see a celebrity right now?” Chappelle asks the audience. “No! This is <a href="https://www.etonline.com/washington-dc-protestors-lead-lean-on-me-sing-along-in-front-of-the-white-house-147642" target="_blank">the streets talking</a> for themselves. They don't need me right now. I kept my mouth shut and I’ll still keep my mouth shut. But, don't think that my silence is complicit.”

“Why would anyone care what their favorite comedian thinks after they saw a police officer kneel on a man's neck for eight minutes and 46 seconds,” he added. “I can't get that number out of my head because it is the time of birth on my birth certificate.”

“I figured out why they want to hear from me. The only reason why people want to hear from people like me is because <a href="https://www.etonline.com/sesame-street-and-cnns-town-hall-perfectly-explains-racism-and-the-need-to-come-together-147720" target="_blank">you trust me</a>. I don't lie to you,” he said. “And, every institution that we trust lies to us.”

“The streets will speak for themselves whether I’m alive or dead. I trust you guys. I love you guys and we’ll keep this space open,” he added.
