EXCLUSIVE: John Travolta Flew Himself to the Emmys, Thanks 'My Little Jetty' After Win

John Travolta is flying high in more ways than one after The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story's big night at the 2016 Emmy Awards.

The 62-year-old actor not only played attorney Robert Shapiro in the critically acclaimed FX series -- and was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor -- but also served as a producer. The show picked up 10 wins on Sunday, which Travolta called "unbelievable."

"I don't know if anyone can predict this level of success," Travolta told ET's Kevin Frazier exclusively when we caught up with the actor after the show. "I knew that we had the quality of communication going, and I knew it was going to be enlightening to people, but to predict 22 nominees and 10 wins -- thank you -- is unbelievable. I mean, this was a revelation."

Travolta attended Sunday's ceremony with his wife, Kelly Preston, and his daughter, 16-year-old Ella Bleu, and revealed he actually flew his family to the event. The accomplished private pilot said he's definitely going to take good care of his Emmy during his flight home.

"Oh, I'll take it with me," he stressed. "I have to, 'cause you know, they're rarified. How often do you take home an Emmy? I have two Oscar nominations, but they're nominations. This time I get to take home an Emmy. It's nice."

In a touching moment with ET, Travolta also got to thank those closest to him -- since he didn't have the opportunity to say a televised speech for the win -- including his late son, Jett, who died in 2009.

"The biggest thanks has to go to Ryan Murphy, because he made this all possible," Travolta said. "And my family: Kelly, Ella, Ben and then my little Jetty, I love you all so much."

Travolta also revealed how the close-knit cast -- including Courtney B. Vance, Sarah Paulson, and Sterling K. Brown, who all won Emmys for their performances in the show -- is going to celebrate their big wins.

"We promised each other we would have some drinks," Travolta said. "We're gonna stay up all night. I will report to you next time I see you if everyone kept to that promise."

ET recently visited both Travolta and Preston on the set of the highly anticipated The Life and Death of John Gotti, in which Travolta plays another real-life character, infamous mob boss John Gotti. Preston plays his wife, Victoria.

"We have the friendship and we have the rapport, so you can see the intimacy," Preston, 53, said about their new roles.
