Creative Arts Emmys Honor Those Behind The Camera

By

While the Primetime Emmys celebrate those in front of the camera, the Creative Arts Emmys were made to celebrate all the people working hard to get your favorite shows made. From the editors to the art designers to the hair and makeup people, the Creative Arts Emmys honor the successes of these industry luminaries.

The Creative Arts Emmys were held Sunday, September 16, and will be aired on FXX on Saturday, a day before the Primetime Emmys air on CBS.

Actors, comedians, hosts, artists, designers, and the like were out and shinning bright as they walked down a very, very warm red carpet.

"I'd like to say we're all winners, but that's not true. A lot of us are going to lose," joked comedian Rob Corddry of Childrens Hospital.

Fashion icons Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn, from the hit reality competition show Project Runway, were also on hand, and they couldn't have seemed more thrilled.

"We're very excited that were nominated," Klum said. "We've been doing this for 12 seasons now… To be on television for so many years, it's awesome. Because so many shows that even have much bigger budgets than our little show, Project Runway…They are on the air, and off the air, and on the air, and off the air. We're 12 seasons in and we're still going."

Seth Green was on the red carpet as well, having been nominated for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance in an episode for his hit stop-motion comedy show Robot Chicken.

"Every award counts," Green said. "It’s a thrill to be grouped in these categories and recognized along with our peers. When you win, it just means that people voted for you, which is a great pat on the back."
