The 'Elementary' actor looked back on the former couple's romance in a new interview.

Jonny Lee Miller really was ready to risk it all during his relationship with Angelina Jolie. The Elementary alum recently reflected on his long-ago romance -- and one particularly daring date -- with the Oscar-winning actress.

Miller was asked to share a "ridiculous" thing he's done to impress a romantic partner during a Valentine's Day appearance on Johnny Vaughan's Radio X. With a laugh, Miller, 51, recalled his courtship with Jolie, 48, in the mid-1990s.

"I jumped out of an airplane," he shared, adding, "Well, it wasn’t my idea."

He explained, "I was dating a young lady called Angelina."

Without dropping the A-lister's last name, a photo of Jolie flashed on screen with the words "This Angelina."

"She said, 'Let's do something exciting this weekend,'" he continued, explaining that she suggested they travel outside Los Angeles to Hemet, California, to "jump out of an airplane."

He quipped, "I was like, 'Yeah, sounds great.'"

The couple met while working on the 1995 film Hackers, and quietly tied the knot in 1996. They went on to split after one year and officially divorced in 1999.

Today, Miller has nothing but praise for the Eternals actress.

"She is cool as a cucumber," he gushed. "Fearless. That woman."

Later in the clip, Vaughan relayed a story Miller purportedly told him about how he and Jolie used to drink tequila and practice "knife throwing" together in a hotel room. Miller did not appear to comment on the story directly, but did laugh along at the memory as it was shared.

Miller went on to marry Michele Hicks in 2008, but they went their separate ways 10 years later.

Jolie was married to Billy Bob Thornton from 2000 to 2003, and wed longtime partner Brad Pitt in 2014.

The Mr. and Mrs. Smith co-stars announced their separation in 2016, and have spent the last seven years in an up and down legal battle. They share children Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, Zahara, 18, Shiloh, 17, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 15.

Just last month, the Fight Club actor ran into Jolie's father, Jon Voight, and brother, James Haven, at Moneyball director Bennett Miller's art exhibit at Gagosian Gallery in Beverly Hills.

An eyewitness told ET that Pitt seemed happy at the art gallery event, which he attended with Ines de Ramon. "Brad and Ines were friendly and nice to event goers and said hi to and spoke to other celebrity attendees."

The eyewitness added that, "Brad did not speak to Jon."

Earlier this year, Haven gave a rare interview about him, Jolie and her kids, explaining on the 90who10 podcast why it's "natural" to be protective of his sister and her kids.

"Any time I'm blessed to be in their presence, I want to be in their presence," he said. "I set my life up so I can be present with whatever the situation... I want to be there for them or for her, whatever she's going through."

For her part, Jolie offered an interview to WSJ Magazine in late 2023 in which she addressed her divorce from Pitt and current dating life.

"We had to heal," Jolie said of the time after the split with her children. "There are things we needed to heal from."

Jolie also revealed that she was not dating at the time, and admitted that in Los Angeles she "doesn't really have a social life." The people she has the closest connection to are her children.

"They are the closest people to me and my life, and they’re my close friends," she said of her teenage and adult children. "We’re seven very different people, which is our strength."
