2023 GLAAD Media Award Nominations: See the Full List

The 34th annual GLAAD Media Awards will be handed out during two ceremonies in Los Angeles and New York City.

On Wednesday, the GLAAD Media Awards, which honors media for fair, accurate and inclusive representation of the LGBTQ community, revealed the nominees for its upcoming 34th annual celebration. 

In total, there are 295 nominees across all 33 categories as the biggest and most visible LGBTQ awards show continues to expand its recognition. This year, GLAAD introduced two new categories – Outstanding Podcast and Outstanding Live TV Journalism - Segment or Special – while also splitting the Outstanding Reality Program category into competition and non-competition series and the Outstanding Kids & Family Programming category into animated and live-action shows. 

Among the wide array of nominees are Abbott Elementary, romcoms Bros and Fire Island, Family Karma, HBO Max's reboot of Gossip Girl, RuPaul's Drag Race, Prime Video's adaptation of A League of Their Own, What We Do in the Shadows, The White Lotus and many more. 

Additionally, The Los Angeles Blade and The Washington Blade will be presented with the Barbara Gittings Award for Excellence in LGBTQ Media while Alejandra Caraballo, Drag Story Hour, Jerrod Carmichael’s Rothaniel, The Lesbian Bar Project, and #Letters4TransKids are all being recognized with Special Recognition honors.

The 34th annual GLAAD Media Awards ceremonies will take place in Los Angeles on March 30 and in New York City on May 13.
